🚐 Duncan’s daughter Scarlett is currently driving from the UK to Ghana and back (you may remember her from her previous drive to Mongolia and back in a Freelander!) but sadly this time in a van… which is somehow even less reliable than the Freelander hah.

In Boujdour, Western Sahara/ Morocco, she came across this Land Rover garage working hard to repair these old beauties! Funnily enough, the man working there also fell in love with Land Rovers after driving them in the military like Duncan.

Well, having assured the media that parts delivery was set to resume last Monday, it seems Land Rover is being a wee bit economical with the truth, for the third day, not so much as a screw has turned up for us.

On top of that, all the orders I have submitted over the last two weeks have not even been accepted by Land Rover, as they are completely overwhelmed by the scale of the mess.

I can only sincerely apologise to all of our customers on behalf of Britcar Global, I hope we can provide a better service soon

🥳 GENUINE JLR PARTS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED. ORDER NOW.

🤦🏻It has now been nearly a month since the cyber incident that affected JLR’s systems. During this period, we have not received any deliveries!

‼️ Yesterday, however, we received our first delivery — a selection of parts from orders placed over the last four weeks. Today, another batch has arrived. Although supply remains limited, parts are now beginning to filter through so it’s worth ordering now!

📈 This is not yet the resolution of the issue, but we are hopeful that it marks the beginning of the end.

🙌🏼 We would like to sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding during what has been a very challenging time.

⚠️ It’s official - word it out that it is a cyber attack!

🤷🏻 We may finally be able to order parts, and we’ve placed a trial order, but we will have to see what arrives tomorrow!

Staff were sent home and the company shut down its IT systems in an effort to minimise the damage done.
