What a weekend & another lesson hard learned for this rookie 🏁

ELIMINATION 1:

Drew Teammate Jordan #454 - 12.9 Matching times so basically heads up - first cross the line wins.
Both missed second gears, Crossed 13.5 to his 13.4 but out reacted him on the light.

Win margin was 0.006 seconds. Crazy.

Insane race and so blessed we have that kind of matchup with such a close friend.

ELIMINATION 2:

New pair up with Lowri #575 & a car we've never raced before - New shape Cupra. It's a wolf Golf R hiding in sheep's clothing and fully road legal 🐑

My inexperience showed, peddling the car, hesitating and losing boost so she came back around me after catching up. Too late - she's gone.

Her 14.2 on a 14.1 Vs My 13.3 on a 12.9. Sent packing ❌

I'm just grateful to be competing and yet again humbled to be surrounded by all the amazing racers. We aren't losing by seconds here with bracket racing - blink and you've lost.

The car has been a pain this week and despite all efforts to slow it down is still one of the fastest in the class. Played with tyres, played with burnouts, played with reaction times. Hopefully one day something just clicks for the consistency but we are going to need more seat time.

JUST 4 weeks until Round 3. Bring it on 💪

Ended up 27/32 at close of play

Tried to slow the car but clearly it's going faster than planned WITHOUT our Hoosier slicks. Maintenance clearly helped it speed up this week. Whoops.

We've drawn teammate Jordan #454 for Elimination 1 at 11.30ish tomorrow - either way it's going to be fun & very loud.
