An old Harley-Davidson jacket, given a completely new life. šŸ˜Ž

This custom Harley seat was upholstered using the customerā€™s old leather Harley-Davidson jacket a piece with real sentimental value that they wanted to keep as part of the bike.

The customer supplied us with a custom-made fibreglass seat base, and from there we designed and shaped the custom foam from scratch, before carefully transforming the old jacket into the finished seat cover.

Rather than leaving the jacket hanging in a wardrobe, itā€™s now become part of the bike carrying its history with it .

A sagging headliner is a common issue, especially in older vehicles. Over time, the original foam backing breaks down due to heat, age, and humidity. Once the foam deteriorates, the adhesive can no longer hold the fabric in place, causing it to droop.

At Luxury Auto House, we donā€™t just glue the old material back up thatā€™s only a temporary fix and usually fails again.

Weā€™ve had a steady flow of repairs heading out to dealerships, local customers, and clients from across the UK.

This pair of Recaro seats has just been completed for a customer in Stornoway. The job involved panel replacements and foam repairs, and the finished result speaks for itself, youā€™d never know theyā€™d been repaired.

Custom motorcycle seat completed, all fully done in house.

This one was a challenge as the original cover couldnā€™t be removed due to it being foam injected to the base. That meant templating the entire seat from scratch to achieve the perfect fit. The design was completely altered from the original.

Finished in premium 2 tone Alcantara with double diamond quilting.

A proper classic through the doors.

Instead of replacing the worn interior, we restored the original leather keeping the car authentic while bringing it back to life.

Leather restoration is a detailed process. First the leather is deep cleaned to remove years of oils and dirt, then worn areas are repaired and smoothed before applying a colour-matched leather pigment to restore the original shade. Finally everything is sealed with a protective finish so it looks factory again and lasts for years.

Instead of replacing the worn interior, we restored the original leather keeping the car authentic while bringing it back to life.

Motorcycles like Harley-Davidson often cost serious money. Many riders invest Ā£15,000ā€“Ā£30,000+ into their bike, yet the factory seat is usually mass produced to suit the ā€œaverageā€ rider.

Thatā€™s where custom upholstery makes a real difference.

On this Harley seat we worked on, the original seat didnā€™t position the rider comfortably. Instead of just recovering it, we rebuilt it to suit the rider.

ā€¢ Foam reshaped to improve support
ā€¢ Rider position moved forward by 50 mm to allow easy reach of pedals
ā€¢ Completely new cover made from scratch

We regularly modify motorcycle seats to suit the rider, whether that means:

ā€¢ lowering seat height
ā€¢ reshaping foam for better ergonomics
ā€¢ adding gel pads or memory foam
ā€¢ installing heated seat elements

When someone has invested that much in their bike, it makes sense that the seat should actually fit the rider.

Comfort should be essential. Not optional.
