‼️still looking for a full time MOT tester‼️

👨🏻‍🔧 We’re still on the look out for a full time tester - but….role can be adapted to suit pretty much any requirements with regards to working hours, start early finish early, start late finish late - whatever suits!

📍 Position is based at workshop in Insch, AB52 6TA, you’d be going a team of 7 including the gaffer.

💰 Salary would be dependent on experience and if any alternative to standard hours..

😃If you are already a tester - you’ll know what’s what, keeping up-to date with MOT requirements etc

👍🏻If your an ex tester, ticket ran out? We would be willing to get you back upto scratch etc with the appropriate training at an approved training provider

😇 Not a tester but wants to step back from the grind a bit - we would put you thru the training needed.

🎉 Michty me 😅 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣6️⃣ - 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣

This last week we had our 1️⃣0️⃣ year anniversary 🤯🤯

I really struggle to believe it’s been that long…..🧐 it’s feels like 5….must be a good thing surely

1️⃣ A lot has happened over 10 years - day 1 saw me as a 1 man band, using 2 drive on ramps in a workshop I believed to be too big…..

8️⃣ WE are now a team of 8, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team we have here, like any business we have our problems…but the team definitely make it happen when 💩 and the fan come into play!

🙏🏼 A massive massive thanks to the customers who use us, your repeat custom, word of mouth advertising, and continual flexibility when needed is more appreciated than I can write about, we strive to do everything we can to keep you going, sadly with the way the trade is now, parts availability and demand on the garage workshop time we do sometimes have to decline work, it goes against the grain big time, but we do try to never use the word no….if we can we will is pretty much how it is!

🚐 Suppliers and abidy in between….Thanks, we have great relationships with our suppliers and you folks are a key part of our day to day work, some serious characters and great friends met over the years 😃

Tonight we as a team are celebrating with a wee get together, looking back over 10 very short years - here is to the next 10 and whatever it may bring 🎉

👨🏻‍🔧 Times fleein on….Middle oh May 😳 (although it’s had a October feel to it)

Since the last social post, a fair bit has been gan on, usual day to day stuff😅 and we’ve some new starts coming 😁

🏢 Admin - we are well aware that we have been struggling to keep up with the demand, the tele calls, mobile, the WhatsApp’s, the emails, the request thru the new website….. and now more so in the current climate, and rightly so, customers looking for prices upfront and general information 😅 from 1st June, Tracey will be joined by Rebecca which will eleviate some off the back log and the ongoing requests and will result in a smoother operation 🤙🏻

Many 🙏🏼 to all who applied for the role.

🔧 👨🏻‍🔧 - Mechanic…as some of you may be aware, the motor trade has a massive skills shortage, more so when it comes to mech’s…unfortunately one of our team decided to move on into a non motor trade role, which has left us slightly under staffed for last month or so, BUT - 😁 pleased to announce we have a new mech starting, Stuart will start with is 1st June, he comes with over 10 years current experience in the trade, and will fit into the team nicely….

As mentioned, well aware our wait times aren’t great, and we’re working on making improvements to try and help with this - thanks to all for the patience, and as always - if we feel it’s something we can do in the chaos - we will - we’re gan at it as best we can….we have also been hindered slightly with the type of works being undertaken and the availability of some parts..🤯 not a whole lot we can do about that 1 though.

A moment to reflect….March and 2026 so far….if ye ken fa the below is, I know how yer Saturday nichts and probably Hogmanays Wis spent! 😃 man wiz a hoot!

😅😅So, March, you’ll have maybe seen the new brand roll out, anyone I have spoke to
Asked the same “was that you posting” no it wiz not 😅😂 the team Minto did the rebrand, the new site, the new logo, the recovery wagon livery design, the fitting of the livery was done by Matty Carmaa wraps….very pleased wi the outcome from both parties, but I’m maybe a tad biased 😜

Anyhoo, amongst the above works, it’s been a busy busy 2026 so far - March we know is always busy with MOT’s, but this year it has been unprecedented - we carried out 237 MOT’s in March…add in servicing, Diagnostics, tyres, mechanical and electrical repairs, recoveries, MOT repairs and athin else - madness, but ❤️ every minute oh it 👌🏻🤙🏻 and a massive thanks to those who use us, are willing to wait on us, and understand we are continually pushing to get things done as promptly and as swiftly as possible!

🧐Add in a visit from the DVSA for a wee check up to make sure we are complying with MOT regulations - all good, inspector was happy and the station rating remains green✅

🧐Add in another spot check from SEPA….again, all was good and they left happy with no advisories to sort out 😅😅

😬After the above 2 visits I dinna think my nerves would of managed any more 😬

📅 Appreciate we do still have a wait period for bookings, but we’re trying as best we can, and if we can fit/squeeze things in - we will certainly do that, but we have to be realistic at times and will certainly only say we can, if we actually can….

Massive 🙏🏼 to the team, I appreciate all of you (I may not always appear to 🫢) but I do, your some chiels! And Chiel-ette of course! Same goes to the suppliers and abidy else - thank you!

Fit else is new…..

👩🏼‍💼👩🏼‍💼 We have a new Administrator starting soon, working along side Tracey, with plans to further improve our services/systems and to free up Matt from office duties…nae that he does much anyway - Teflon shoulders himsel!🤦🏻‍♂️

🚗 Car parking - we’re almost ready to share a change of car park, office location, where to drop off/collect etc - meantime continue to use car park at front of building/beside vets - will post aboot that at a later date, still a lot to do yet, but will get it deen!
