Porsche 996 Turbo Gearbox Rebuild 🇩🇪🏁

We carried out a full gearbox rebuild on this lovely manual, Mezger-powered Porsche 996 Turbo.

The gearbox was fully stripped, with the affected components removed and replaced before being rebuilt and subjected to final checks to ensure everything was operating as it should.

Another Porsche through the SVP workshop and back on the road, ready to enjoy.

A rare little hot hatch getting some attention. 🇫🇷🥖

This Clio 172 Cup came into SVP for a bit of maintenance, including an air-con seal replacement and regas - particularly worthwhile on this one as it’s fitted with the rare optional climate control.

We also carried out an oil change and tracked down a handbrake fault, which turned out to be caused by a failed internal mechanism within one of the rear brake calipers.

All sorted and back to enjoying the road. 👌

1989 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera 🇩🇪🏁

Another iconic air-cooled 911 through SVP for a full inspection, MOT and routine servicing.

Work carried out:
• MOT
• Engine oil & filter change
• Full inspection
• Lower cam cover gaskets replaced to rectify oil leaks
• Cylinder head studs re-torqued
• New oil S-pipe fitted
• Gearbox earth strap replaced
• Leaking oil tank level sensor replaced

A thorough inspection of one of Porsche’s most celebrated air-cooled Carreras, ensuring this 3.2 is ready for plenty more miles. ❤️

Most importantly, the car comes with a full FIA Historic Technical Passport (HTP), complete supporting paperwork and build documentation, making it eligible for historic rally competition worldwide, subject to event regulations.

Powered by a period-correct 3.0-litre MFI flat-six and rebuilt competition gearbox, with a top speed of 118 MPH at 7,400 RPM, the car is built to be driven, not displayed.
