Wet belt change on a Peugeot pure tec engine, these require sump removal and dephaser solenoids to be removed to clean parts of the cambelt from them, all cleaned, put back together with new belt kit, fresh oil and filter and ECU then needs adaptions reset. After pulling the gearbox on this Isuzu DMAX to change the rear main seal and clutch which had been contaminated due to the leaking seal, we found the seal and clutch had recently been changed but the seal had been fitted with a hammer and punch rather than the correct tool, Isuzu special tool is shown being used here to seat the seal and now we no longer have a leak... So the first picture shows a common foe of the mx5, rust, this has been repaired twice, and has come back through twice, it's caused by the rust being between the inner and outer wheel arch. The only real cure? Outer wheel arch removed, inner repaired, rust treated and painted then stitch on a new rear quarter, now ready for body work and paint and for me to carry out the same repair on the other side. It's not just servicing and mechanical repairs we can carry out, welding and fabrication can be catered to aswell!

Something a bit different this week, fitting a disc handbrake conversion on a 1992 defender, Rewiring the rear lights which had been chopped about and left with some questionable joins and bodges, along with adding in a trailer socket and fly lead down to it's tow bar which is all removable as it's usual job is playing in mud so the last thing you need is a towbar acting as a plow!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New year under the current circumstances! We are back to normality and open again from the 4th of January!
We hope to see all our valued customers through out the year and the many new faces the year may bring!
This year we hope to make it out to more rookie rod races supporting number 842!
And also make it out to a few shows and meets in my own vehicles and with friends that I've helped build some awesome cars!
Anyway heres a little bit of what I got up to during my time "off"
