AS PROMISED. To help you remember cooler, cloudier days, here is the 1933 Salmson S4C Twin Cam.

A delightful little French sports car with 1480cc twin-cam power and beautifully proportioned AL1100-style coachwork by Ian Pitney.

This is a car that feels light, eager and properly usable - and got a big 'passenger thumbs up' from Mrs H. This car a comfortable, balanced, and full of character.

A very endearing machine, and enormous fun on the right road.

VSCC Donington Park — just a small selection of the wonderfully varied machinery out playing this weekend.

Thank you again to everyone involved in organising and running these events. Great racing, good people… and I even came home with a hat.

What more could one ask for…?

Listen to Tom reviewing this 1950 Healey Silverstone for your Sunday Evening enjoyment! This example also has a great history behind it, including period competition success, which suits the car nicely. Also a sneeky review of Lancashire County Council's finest hole in the road! The Healey didn’t miss a beat!

A very honest and capable sports car that I think would give someone enormous enjoyment.

Please get in touch if you’d like to arrange a viewing. £130,000

Patience is a virtue. Here at THL, we never mind how long it takes to place the right car with the right owner. After a three-year wait, we can finally announce that the 1938 Delahaye 135 CS has now been placed with its new owner.

A wonderfully elegant motor car, with exactly the sort of presence and engineering that makes these French pre-war cars so appealing. We understand the new owner intends to use the car properly too, with some significant road events already planned.

We are delighted to have handled the sale and look forward to seeing it out where it belongs.

1928 Aston Martin T-Type.

One of just three surviving period-correct examples, retaining its original matching numbers, and offered for sale for the first time in 55 years. A motor car that really deserves its place within a serious Aston Martin collection.

I collected her personally this week, which made this one feel particularly special. The current owners have always known me simply as “Little Tom” — and even remember the day my parents announced I was on the way…

So, I suspect I’d better get this one right — or I could be in serious trouble.

SOLD

Alfa Romeo’s “Car of the Year” — the lovely 1967 Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider Duetto — is now heading off to its new home.

A properly charming little thing, and exactly the sort of car that makes even the shortest journey feel like an occasion. We are delighted to have handled the sale and look forward to seeing it enjoyed this summer.

And, she's gone..

The 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 now SOLD — and as expected, it didn't take long.

We had three people lined up, all just beaten to it by a swift deposit. That says a lot about the car.

A really good example. Delighted for the new owner — they’ve got a lovely thing.

And quietly… if anyone has something similar they’re thinking about moving on, please do get in touch.

If you didn’t catch the Monaco Historique Grand Prix at the weekend, it’s well worth tracking down — a nail-biting finish, and it was a Frazer Nash that took the win in the hands of Patrick Blakeney Edwards - well done to him!

And speaking of Frazer Nash (yes, I did that on purpose)… we’ve got a really lovely 1933 Colmore example here.

It’s a beautifully tidy, honest car, and I’m very partial to a Nash at the best of times. So it felt like the perfect excuse to pull this one out and share it with you today.
