TRGB LTD Triumph Specialists and classic car restorations The company was originally run from home until 1992 when severe lack of space meant a move to larger premises.

The company has always had a busy workshop, run by the very experienced Richard Dempster BSc who has worked with the company since its conception. Now we also have a bodyshop and can carry out all types of work on Triumphs, from a simple service to a major restoration. We also restore E-Types, Ferrari Dino, Mercedes, to Austin Healey - Anything Classic (Post woodwork cars!).

A very wholesome week for us at TRGB Ltd…… we had the honour of completing and handing over a very rare TR4a development car to its proud owner! Chassis number x754. X for experimental!

We had the privilege of finish this project which was supplied as a rolling painted body with just and engine fitted. We carried out some minor engine repairs, installed a very unique wiring loom, built all the dash back, controls and steering, carried out a full re-trim of the interior and Surrey top, fitted up the rest of the car and finished the build with an SU HS conversion.

Triumph experimental development chassis X754 was an early prototype for the six-cylinder Triumph TR5 (part of the internal “Wasp” development program)

Key Details on Chassis X754
• Role: Factory test and development prototype built by the Standard Triumph Experimental Department

• Timeline: Completed and registered for road use in 1967 alongside sibling prototypes like X753 and X755, ahead of the TR5 launch.
• Project: Part of the pre-production testing for fitting a 2.5-liter fuel-injected six-cylinder engine into the TR-series body and testing early Lucas fuel injection systems

Note: see the details such as the flat plate on the passenger wheel arch. It is believe the fuel pump and pressure relief valve were fitted here! The crudely hand shaped or bashed in drivers side wheel arch was made to accommodate the throttle bodies and plenum!

A beautiful example that is well known to us at TRGB. Current owner since 2020 with annual servicing, maintenance and improvement carried out by TRGB from 2020 to current with no expenses spared! Recent improvements included our sytec fuel pump kit, revotec electric fan kit and a new brake master cylinder. CV driveshafts fitted, stainless boot rack fitted in 2021 Absolutely huge history file with photographic restoration, parts invoices, MOT’s, heritage certificate and old photos from the past. Restored to a very high standard by Yorkshire Triumph between 2016 to 2018, I must say that they did a very good job and we are impressed with their standards of work. Restoration work included a new CTM chassis, full engine rebuild, some body work and a full re-spray. Original factory seats, nice mohair hood and Jaguar door mirrors. This is one not to be missed due to the history and quality of restoration! Buy with confidence and ramp inspections are welcome. Comes with a year’s free membership with the TR register and our trade 2 discount on parts where applicable.
