We hope all our valued customers have had a wonderful Christmas + New Year(despite these trying times).
We may have been quiet on social media, but we certainly haven’t been quiet in the workshop over the last month.

Here are some pictures of the work we have carried out over the last few weeks.

At Nitro Tyres we carry out a wide range of services:
• Vehicle Servicing
• Vehicle Pre MOT Checks
• General Repairs
• Vehicle Diagnostics + Fault Finding
• Air Conditioning Servicing + Repairs
• Tyres Supplied + Fitted

All our repairs/services are carried out to manufactures specification, using manufactures parts. This means the work is carried out in the exact same way it would be at a main dealer but at an affordable price.

Our workshop Mechanic’s/technicians are fully Qualified + Insured to the highest current standard.

Don’t forget we also offer a mobile service, so we can come to your home or place of work to carry out any repairs/servicing.

Also we don’t just work on Car’s and Van’s, we also undertake vehicle contracts for HGV’s & PSV’s.

Did you know that having your vehicles A/C System Serviced will remove and sanitize any bacteria/pollutants from the system?

We find this specially useful in this current pandemic we’re facing, especially for anyone who transports different people everyday like taxi vehicles for example. Or would you feel safer knowing your vehicles ventilation system has been sanitized and removed of any unwanted bacteria, thus creating a safer environment for you and your family.

Below are a couple of pictures of our new machine in action carrying out servicing of the new R1234YF gas. If you have a 2017 onwards vehicle it will be likely to have this gas fitted. We are one of many few in the area who can carry out the servicing/repairs of new vehicles, without charging main dealer sky high prices. We’re happy to confirm that we can now carry out servicing and repairs on ALL vehicle makes/models.

Don’t forget we also carry out a wide range of other services including – MOT Preparations – Vehicle Servicing – Diagnostics – Tyres Supply/Fit – General Repairs

Last Thursday a customer called to say their auxiliary drive belt had come off while driving down the A1. He said he'd lost power steering, and the dash had lots of warning lights come up. We came out in the service van that evening to re-attach the belt. But upon inspection we diagnosed the water pump was completely shot and that was why the belt had come off. We returned on Friday to fit a new water pump and auxiliary belt on the customers drive way. The job was completed within a couple of hours and the customer had his vehicle back on the road again. They were over the moon we could carry out the job on their drive way to avoid having it be recovered to our garage. Another happy customer.

The beginning of week we performed a clutch replacement for an existing customer, on a VW Caddy 1.6TDI.

They came in with a high biting point on the pedal, and noticing a slip when accelerating, also the pedal became very heavy to operate.

On test we confirmed the clutch was starting to slip under load, the mileage was also at around 146k mark.

We were confident a new clutch kit was in order. While we had it out we noticed the slave cylinder was also worn out. We replaced for the customer an LUK complete clutch kit + slave cylinder.

Once we had carried out the replacement, we confirmed all was working well with a road test.

The customer was happy to have their van back, they stated they have never felt the clutch pedal so lovely to operate. One happy customer. 😀

We hope all our valued customers are enjoying the beautiful weather we have been experiencing recently, fingers crossed we still have it for sometime to come.
For that reason more and more people are using their Air Conditioning systems in their vehicles.

At Nitro Tyres we really do work on a range of vehicles/equipment.

In the workshop today we have a mobile generator, it has been sat for a few years in storage. The owner decided he wanted to make use of it again, but couldn’t get it working...
A quick email with us, to discuss the issue and how we could help. A day later and now she’s in the workshop, ready for a full overhaul/service and a tidy up.

We're a family owned/ran vehicle repair workshop. We have over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry.

We're seeing an ever increase in vehicles on the road, but not so much of an increase in the workshops in the area.
