This Peugeot 208 came in for important preventative maintenance to help keep the engine running smoothly and reliably.

✅ Wet timing belt replaced
✅ Water pump replaced
✅ Water pump belt replaced
✅ Drive belt replaced
✅ Necessary seals and gaskets replaced
✅ Engine oil and filter changed

Replacing the wet timing belt at the correct interval is essential, as belt deterioration can lead to serious engine damage. The water pump, water pump belt and drive belt were also replaced at the same time, along with the necessary seals and gaskets. This helps ensure the cooling system and auxiliary components continue to operate effectively while avoiding the need for additional labour later on. Fresh engine oil and a new filter were fitted to support proper lubrication and protect the engine’s internal components.

✅ Inspected the surrounding hoses, connections, and cooling system for any additional leaks
✅ Flushed the cooling system to remove contaminated coolant and debris
✅ Refilled the system with the correct coolant mixture
✅ Carefully bled the cooling system to remove trapped air
✅ Checked the coolant level and inspected for leaks after running the engine
✅ Tested the vehicle to confirm the engine was operating at the correct temperature

The leaking fl**ge was the cause of the coolant loss and overheating issue. With the repair completed and the cooling system restored, this Vauxhall Corsa is ready for the road! 🚗

This Ford S-MAX unfortunately failed its MOT with several items needing attention before it could safely return to the road.

Following the MOT, I carried out all the required repairs:

✅ 4 new tyres fitted
✅ New wiper blades
✅ Anti-roll bar link replaced
✅ Rear brake pads & discs replaced
✅ Vehicle prepared for its MOT retest

With everything repaired, the S-MAX went back in for its retest and passed! 🎉✅

Another customer back on the road with a fresh MOT and all the necessary repairs taken care of. 🔧🚗
