Vibrations Studios We are a professional recording and rehearsal studio just out of the centre of Huddersfield. Rehearsals:

We have three large rooms available for hire.

Rates are £10 per Hour and if any backline is needed in the room, it's only £5 per session for any combination, check the list below. All practices come with a 3kw P.A., 2 vocal microphones and leads included in the price, but if you choose to hire backline we have all sorts of high quality backline available, brands including Yamaha, Peavey, Marshall, Pearl, Crate, Hartke. I've always loved producing pop punk. Having recently come back in vogue there have been a couple of times recently where I've had to dial in that signature heavy Marshall sound on guitars, with a driven Fender Jazz Bass to compliment. Awesome couple of days with Hospital Food tracking a massive 15 tracks! Really great to lay down all of the tracks as a band then take the time to focus on vocals and lead breaks where needed. Big fan of the Tarian drum shells and heavy Hive Snare too, so easy to get a great tone from. ~Steve

Last week, Jack and I ran our first ever youth music workshop at the studio. In 8 hours, we managed to write, record and mix an original track, combining everyone's styles and ideas. From learning about musical elements and songwriting techniques, we then discussed the studio's signal path, acoustics, microphone placement and choices, and had a crash course on recording into Pro Tools. Finally, we looked at mixing - delving into levels, panning, signal processing such as EQ and compression, and time-based effects.

It was such a great day, so we're working to run some more over summer! We plan to split these into seperate songwriting and producing, recording, and mixing workshops, so you can get stuck into the bits that interest you most. Let us know if you'd be interested in any of these! - Abi

Retro popster, Tony Farrand returned to Vibes again this year to record some glam rock with me. Ie of course obliged, and our in-house drummer Abi worked her magic (I even got her singing on a track again!)

It's always a special session when I'm encouraged to use retro production techniques, and mixing tape driven drums into spring reverb was just the thing this project needed to give it that glam flavour. Thanks Tony! ~Piper

Super excited to see the Joeys Knuckle album out in the world!

It’s been a long time coming as we’ve been chipping away at this project over the last couple of years.

It’s been a great way to work, a few hours here and there rather than trying to push through multiple long days in a row. This way it’s kept us fresh and given us plenty of space to think of new ideas and developments as we’ve worked. - Steve
