BMW X5 LE MANS V12 vs X5 M COMPETITION 🔥

26 years apart. Two very different approaches to building the ultimate performance SUV!

Back in 2000, BMW created the incredible X5 Le Mans, a one-off prototype powered by a 6.1-litre naturally aspirated V12 derived from the Le Mans-winning BMW V12 LMR.

Producing 700 hp and paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, it achieved an astonishing 311 km/h (193 mph) during testing at the Nürburgring.

Fast-forward to the modern X5 M Competition, featuring a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 625 hp and 750 Nm of torque.

Despite having 75 hp less, the modern X5 M Competition accelerates from 0–62 mph in just 3.9 seconds, compared with 4.7 seconds for the V12 prototype.

The original has more power, less weight and a legendary racing-derived engine. The modern X5 M brings advanced technology, all-wheel-drive performance and everyday usability.
