THE RESTORATION — BEFORE, DURING & AFTER 🏁

Restoring a car like this Mitsubishi Tommi Mäkinen Edition isn’t simply about making it look good — it’s about bringing it back to the condition it deserves.

BEFORE:
Years of use had taken their toll. The car had plenty of the usual wear, corrosion and tired components you’d expect from a performance car of this age.

DURING:
The car was stripped back and the restoration began. Every area was inspected, cleaned, repaired or replaced where required. Mechanical components, suspension, brakes, underbody, hardware and finishes were all carefully addressed.

No shortcuts. No hiding the imperfections. Just a proper, detailed nut-and-bolt restoration.

Keeping the legendary S54 performing exactly as BMW intended. 🔧

This E46 M3 came into the workshop with Vanos control fault codes, upon stripping down the Vanos unit we found remnants of silicone sealant jamming the oil regulator.

Our Vanos rebuild consisted of..
- Ultra sonic cleaning of all components
- Beisan seal kit
- Beisan anti rattle kit & rebuilt transfer gears
- Sealing plate
- Valve block & solenoid pack
- Cam sprocket bolts
- Cam hub bolts
- Re drilled oil pump drive

The result? A smoother, sharper engine with the performance and reliability these iconic M cars deserve.
