🎉1 more first time pass🎉

Passes 94 & 95 of 2026

Congratulations to Arnau Amado who passed his test last Saturday and to Kay O’Conner who passed her test first time on Monday

“Arnau Amado passed his driving test on Saturday. Arnau was fantastic as a learner driver who really enjoyed his lessons and I wish him well for when he returns to university at the end of the month. Well done Arnau”
Jason, Instructor

“Congratulations to Kay Oconner on passing her driving test first time. 🥳🥳🥳🥳
This pass means so much more than just passing a driving test. You faced anxiety nerves moments of self doubt and tears( yours and mine) throughout your journey but you kept going even when it got so overwhelming.
Today you showed just how far you have come and you should be super proud.
It was an absolute privilege to be part of your journey. See you soon for coffee and a catch up.”
Vicki, Instructor

Well done Arnau and Kay from your instructors Jason, Vicki and the Training Wheelz team

Whether you are a learner or a trainee instructor looking for a test date, you are almost certainly getting frustrated with the length of time you are waiting.

After over eight months in. position, the new CEO of the DVSA, Beverley Warmington, finally emegerd from her bunker recently and produced an update on the situation and what the DVSA is attempting to do about it.

There has been some improvement but we are still a very very long way from the DVSA's stated aim of a 7 week wait for learner tests. There is no such aim for trainee instructor tests.

We have written a blog post covering all of this.

Driving test waiting times are improving, but what do the latest DVSA figures really mean for learners, trainee instructors and ADIs?

Congratulations Lloyd Baten and Holly Campbell who passed their tests on their first attempts on Tuesday and Thursday. Another congratulations to Jacob Holman who passed his test on Thursday, all were in Exeter

“Congratulations to Lloyd Baten on passing his driving test first time. Thankyou for asking me to sit in the back of your test. I was so proud of your drive. Your examiner praised you on a very good solid drive. No longer a passenger princess!! Now the Chauffeur.”
Vicki, Instructor

“Congratulations to Holly Campbell on a first time practical driving test pass in Exeter on September 10th. Holly was following a very slow steam engine for quite a bit of the test so her examiner abandoned the satnav route and took her a different way!
Holly’s partner passed with me a few years ago - Max now has someone to share the driving!!”
Kevin, Instructor

“Congratulations to Jacob Holman who passed his Driving Test this week 👏👏 Jacob, who has developed his skills consistently, produced a very confident drive and received some nice comments from his examiner post test. Enjoy your new found freedom and all the very best at Uni……”
