Common faults on the VW Transporter T5/T5.1 is the front lower arm rear bush failing. As you can see there’s only 2 points on the bush that connects the rubber to the housing.

We fit the Meyle Heavy Duty bush, meaning there rubber all the way around.

If you’ve got a T5/T5.1 get in touch to have this rectified!

We’ve had E92 M3 in again for some more work!
This time we’ve carried out, fitting of front brake kit and braided brake lines front and rear, then bled the system with some fresh RBF660 that we always keep on the shelf.

Sam then also asked if we could swap over the tan interior to black, which involved removing the whole seat looms and modules to swap them around.

This car is starting to look fantastic now!

It’s off to next for some preventative maintenance 😎

Had this Ford Kuga in for an over heating issue.

Originally the customer had broken down a couple of hours from home with the car over heating and going into limp mode. RAC had come out to assist and simply unplugged the temperature sensor on top of the thermostat housing, meaning the car could be driven home… 😅

This Kuga having the PSA group (Peugeot / Citroen) 2.0 HDI engine is common for the OEM water pump impeller spinning on the shaft, meaning it doesn’t pump water around the engine properly. Video to be uploaded separately as Facebook doesn’t allow pictures and videos together 🤦🏽‍♂️

New Cambelt / water pump kit supplied and fitted, this belt looked like it was ready for replacement anyway!

Audi TT MK2 Track Car in for vacuum pump seal kit.

This is a very common on the TFSI engine in which the seals of the vacuum pump perish and start to then leak oil over the top of the gearbox.

Currently, these seals are not available from VW / TPS. They only supply a new pump. Thankfully, the team at have resolved this by offering a seal kit at an affordable price!

This one had actually had someone try to silicone it 🤦🏼‍♂️

We had Sam's truck in while he's away for some maintenance jobs, we planned to take this in while he's away so it didn't disrupt his work having it off the road.

The spring bolts that secure the folding rear light bar in place were very rusty and one side had lost its spring load. From the body builder they've welded these bolts to the back of the bed. Instead of cutting off the welds and welding on the new, we decided to use the old part of the spring bolt body as a piece to be able to bolt the new ones to. This meaning in future its a simple bolt on job, as these as common for failing over time!

We were also asked to refit a side marker light and rewire, as it had stopped working.

Lastly on the list, was new handbrake cables. If you're familiar with these Fiat Ducato trucks, you'll know the handbrakes are never much good!

All done ready for Sam to come back and get the truck earning its keep again.

This van was recovered in to us after the aux belt had shredded itself, then meaning the battery wasn't charging.

After investigating we found the upper tensioner had failed! We supplied and fitted both tensioners and a new belt.

Customer then asked us to take a look at the rear brakes, as it had been in with Vauxhall for a recall and health check and they'd picked up the rear pads were low. Once we'd checked them and found out they only had 1mm left we advised customer and they asked us to replace to save the van being off the road again down the line.

We also found the coolant level to be under minimum and a screw missing from the rear arch liner, meaning it had small contact with the tyre. We replaced the screw and topped up coolant.

Also advised the customer to clear the scuttle a little more frequently, after we found it full of leaves and other derbies. If you park under trees - make sure you're keeping those drainage points clear so they don't back up and water getting where it shouldn't!
