With all the welding work we carry out we regularly get asked if the welding repairs could of been avoided, simply put prevention is cheaper than the cure,
BUT …..
You’ve got to do it right.
This sort of treatment is only really useful if used before the problems start.
Corrosion and rust is a massive problem for a lot of UK cars, and we have found there is no miracle cure or product that reverses its effects, the best you can do is protect from it before it happens. We see a lot of cars where products have been applied too late covering over rust that is already there or applied incorrectly. Whatever product you choose make sure it’s applied correctly and thoroughly.
ALL trims, arch liners, undertrays, covers removed, all loose dirt and debris cleared, a thorough clean and DRY making sure to not trap any moisture in. Any area you don’t want coated need to be masked off or covered. Apply your choice of product following manufacturer recommended procedure.
