I intercepted a message from Jacks examiner to their group chat...

"Mate, you'll never guess what. I just passed a guy called Jack.

Thought I was going to need the sick bag when he went sideways round the Milton roundabout, but he actually nailed it! I nearly applauded.

He's good. Like, actually good. Let him loose.

I'm going for a lie down."

BREAKING NEWS: Louie has PASSED his driving test, on his first attempt!

After months of lessons, years of being Dad's back-seat driving critic, and approximately 4,000 hours of watching his Dad miss the same turning on purpose because "this way is quicker", Louie is now officially QUALIFIED.

The examiner said it was one of the smoothest drives he'd ever seen. Calm, confident, perfect observations, beautiful manoeuvres. Basically the polar opposite of riding with his Dad.

In a historic first for the family:
• Louie indicates BEFORE he turns
• Louie actually checks his mirrors
• Louie can parallel park without needing 17 attempts and a family of onlookers guiding him in
• And when Louie says "we're doing 30", he is actually doing 30, not 38 while saying "this speedo reads fast" .

His Dad is said to be both incredibly proud and slightly concerned, as he is now officially the second-best driver in the house. And that's only if you don't count Mum.

The roads of Cambridgeshire will never be the same. Or rather, for once, they might actually be driven on properly.

Well done Louie! Please be patient when Dad now asks YOU for a lift and then tells you how he would have done it.

How Kia Passed Her Driving Test Today: A Masterclass in Chaos

The Prep
Kia rolled up to the test centre with 3 lucky pennies, a rabbit's foot keychain, and the confidence of someone who'd watched one YouTube video titled "Pass Your Test First Try!!!" at 2am. Her instructor had already started stress-eating mints.

The Reverse Park
Examiner: "Okay Kia, reverse into that bay."
Kia: proceeds to reverse like she's defusing a bomb in slow motion
She missed the bay. Then the one next to it. Then nearly invented a new bay between two parked cars. The examiner's clipboard hand started twitching.
On attempt #4, a gust of wind blew, a pigeon sneezed, and somehow the car slid perfectly into the lines. Kia: "I meant to do that." Examiner: writes 'divine intervention' in notes

The Roundabout Situation
Kia approached the roundabout, whispered "you got this, Toretto," and entered at what witnesses are calling "ambitious speeds." She did 3 full laps because she "wasn't sure which exit was the vibe." The examiner finally pointed. Kia exited, still indicating right, left, then hazards... just to keep everyone guessing.

The Emergency Stop
Examiner: "I'm going to ask you to do an emergency stop now."
Silence
Examiner: "...Now."
Kia SLAMMED the brakes so hard the glovebox flew open, a packet of Fruit Pastilles exploded, and the examiner's pen launched into the backseat.
Examiner, peeling himself off the dashboard: "Technically... effective."
