Fresh from her 18th birthday, Grace Bates is preparing for another milestone: her first Formula Ford Festival.

Racing her 1980 Van Diemen RF80 with Shaws Motorsport, Grace has gained experience across a range of Formula Ford championships this season, building knowledge and pace with every outing.

She’ll also contest the Pre ’82 races, adding valuable track time as she takes on the Festival challenge. With her rapid learning and the potential for October weather to influence proceedings, Grace could be one to watch as she targets progress in the Brian Jones Historic Final.

We’ve got another exciting addition to this year’s Formula Ford Festival…

Harrison Morrow - 2026 Super Classic Champion will also be making a special guest appearance behind the wheel of our Van Diemen RF81 Ayrton Senna replica car! 🏁🇧🇷

Harrison will be taking the wheel of the RF81 in the pre 82 races whilst also racing his Reynard in the main festival.

A very special car paying tribute to one of the most iconic drivers in motorsport history and definitely one to look out for around Brands Hatch.

It wouldn’t be the festival without the BRSCC chairman Peter Daly! Pete has been doing the festival with Shaws for a long time with some great results in the past, we look forward to seeing how he does this year!

It’s race week 🏁
We’re taking a quick break from Festival announcements to turn our attention to the HSCC Silverstone Finals weekend. We have 4 drivers out - Oliver Chapman, Grace Bates, Daniel Whear and Philip Senior.

Next up in the Shaws Motorsport awning we have Chris Edward’s in his PRS.

Chris will be taking to the track for his second Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch, after improving lots throughout the year, we’re excited to see how he does this time!

We’re nearing the end of our driver announcements for the Festival, with only a few more to come…

In a change from rallying over in Ireland, Robbie will be competing in the Formula Ford Festival at the end of October with Shaws. Having done a few race meetings with us, we’re massively looking forward to seeing how he gets on 💪

Another day, another driver announcement 😜

We’re very pleased to confirm that 2026 Super Classic Champion, Harrison Morrow will also be joining Shaws Motorsport for theFormula Ford Festival!

This will be Harrison’s second time at the festival, however his first time doing it in his Reynard. we’re excited to see how he gets on!

And the line-up continues…

As we get closer to the 55th Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch, it’s time to reveal another name joining the Shaws Motorsport line-up.

Next up is Alex Daly, who will be taking to Brands Hatch circuit on the 24th–25th of October for this year’s Festival for the first time!

We’re looking forward to seeing Alex out on track and adding another Shaws Motorsport car to what promises to be a fantastic weekend of Formula Ford racing.

Sometimes you have a week that makes you question what you do.

Then you get a message like this!!!

We have a great group of drivers who are always willing to support each other and ourselves through the highs and lows, offering advice and celebrating the wins.

We often joke that we holiday round the race circuits of the uk and at times spend more time with our 'race family' than with our real family!

Thank you, we really do love what we do and are so grateful to all of you that help make this team what it is, we couldn't do it without you all!!

This year has been amazing, and these two people have been at the heart of it.
Mark and Sara run Shaws Motorsport and have such a passion for racing and bringing in youngsters into the sport.
They are a massive postive influence on Harrison and honestly this years success is so much down to Sara, Mark, and Pete.
Grace too has had the biggest change in H, but I think deserves her own post.
The car prep, the organisation and the sheer drive to race the right way from Shaws has been so top level.
The team cater for so many drivers over a year and work so hard.
We are so grateful and so proud to be part of the team.
