Congratulations to Cayton this morning on a 1st time pass at Hinckley test centre with just 3 driver faults. 💥👍😃
Cayton began his test around Hinckley town centre, leading out to the spiral roundabouts around Barwell and Earl Shilton and eventually back around the edge of Hinckley dealing with even more roundabouts.
He completed his favourite reversing manoeuvre and performed an emergency stop 🛑 along the way.

That cyclist, that you're getting impatient with, isn't choosing the weather they're riding in. They could be travelling to work, school or home just like you. Maybe they aren't old enough to drive yet, maybe they can't afford to run a car and rely on their bike to get around.

You are protect by metal and airbags, what protection do they have?

In darker, wetter conditions, a little more patience and a little more space can make all the difference.

Congratulations to Phoebe this morning for passing her driving test at the 1st attempt. (In a manual car) 👌💥👍🚘
She had passed in an automatic car a few years ago but she wanted to test herself on the use of clutch and gear selection more. 😃🤯
She did an almost perfect drive in doing so accumulating just the x1 driver fault along the way. (A re-adjust on her least favourite forward bay parking manoeuvre-we knew you would get this manoeuvre! 🤣 )
She showed her skills around Hinckley town centre, dealt with cyclists on some fast moving rural roads which led onto the joining of the 70mph dual carriageways and finally expertly dealing with the dreaded m69 roundabout.

Curious about what happens during a driving test? Here's what to expect on test day.

An eyesight check 👀
You'll read a number plate from 20 metres away or 20.5 metres if it's an old-style plate.

'Show me, tell me' vehicle safety questions 💭
You'll answer 2 questions about vehicle safety. The 'tell me' question comes before you start driving and the 'show me' question while you're on the move.

General driving ability ✅
You'll drive on a variety of roads, but not on motorways, including 20 to 35 minutes of independent driving, following either a sat nav, traffic signs, or both.

Reversing your vehicle 🚗
You'll be asked to do one of the following: parallel park, park in a bay, or pull up on the right and reverse 2 car lengths. Your examiner will let you know which one.

Knowing what's coming can make test day feel a lot less daunting.

Congratulations to Nathan this morning for passing 1st attempt at Hinckley test centre with a few driver faults. 👌👍💥🚙🚗
Nathan had to expertly deal with a very busy 8:00am test slot, managing some tricky roundabouts around the edge of Hinckley and Barwell and expertly navigating his way through the busy school drop off areas. 🤯😩😃
He performed his favourite reverse parallel park manoeuvre along the way.
After passing he had to shoot off to uni for his 1st official day and a day full of lectures….all the best at uni.

10 out of 13 1st time passes! (All have now passed) 👌💥👍
After all of those successful passes and moving a few current pupils around in my diary because of educational timetable changes, 🤯🤯 it means I do have a few sought after gaps in my weekly diary for new pupils.
A Monday evening slot at 5:30pm.
A Tuesday morning slot at 9:30am.
x2 Thursday morning slots at 9:30am and 11:30am.

Congratulations to Henry on his 1st time pass at Hinckley test centre this afternoon. 👍💥🥳
Henry dealt with the perils of the spiral roundabouts around the edge of Stoney Stanton and Earl Shilton, showed his skills on some fast moving rural roads and back into the busy Hinckley town centre. He performed his favourite reversing manoeuvre all with just x1 teeny tiny driver fault. 🔥 🚙🚗
I had the pleasure of sitting in with you on test and seeing what an excellent forward thinking driver you have become. 😃

Congratulations to Sophie this afternoon on passing 1st attempt with a handful of driver faults at Hinckley test centre. 💥👌👍🚘🥳
Sophie navigated her way through the perils of Burbage’s tightest roads, dealing with the very busy back to school after summer holiday’s traffic. ☀️😩
Sophie expertly dealt with the dreaded m69 roundabout (despite a stall 🤫🤦😂) and back to the busy roads of Hinckley town centre, performing a reverse bay parking manoeuvre in a very busy car park.

Congratulations to Oli for passing his driving test in Hinckley with just 3 little driver faults this afternoon. 👌👍🚘
Oli navigated the tough, tight streets of Burbage, expertly managed his way over the m69 roundabout twice. 🤯 Showed his skills on the fast moving rural roads over Wolvey, performing his least favourite reverse parking manoeuvre. (He does have history with this parking manoeuvre but he smashed it this time-bang in the middle 🤦🤫)
Well done Oli, you have been a pleasure to teach.
