In Somerset, we are under Amber weather warning which turns into red weather warning on Wednesday and Thursday.

As a result we are closed.

We will continue to monitor the weather. All cows have been moved and are being monitored at least three times a day.

We spent yesterday afternoon moving all of our Highland gang to different places ahead of the extreme heat. We made sure they were not rushed.

Of course they have lots of shelter where they normally live but this is abnormal heat so George the Black Bull has actually gone into a very cool barn with one of the mummies. The babies have gone into a field that is very well shaded and the rest into the field opposite that has a lot of tree shade and they can get to the water.

We’ve had to rearrange the experiences for Wednesday and Thursday and we’re keeping an eye on Friday!

Animal welfare has to come first ❤️

It’s a stunning place to spend time with the Highland Cows completely surrounded by fields yet only two minutes to the M5 motorway.

We are only 25 minutes from Bristol.

Just some baby Highland Cows enjoying some Willow!

Our name is perfectly apt for livestock as Willow is really good for sheep and cows. It acts as a natural painkiller and whenever we cut it, we put it in the fields for them to eat.

You learn something new every day!
