It is with some sadness that, because of health reasons, Pass with PADS is now closed.

We would like to thank all our previous clients for their support and efforts over the years and please remember to continue to drive safely.

So it's that time of year when driving instructors start to raise money for the BBC's Children In Need appeal.

We do this by getting people to sponsor spots (yes you get to write on one) whilst in November we also do a "relay" of driving lessons around the whole country called "The Big Learner Relay". This covers 12 days, 3000+ miles, with over 170 lead driving lessons with a special top box as a batten passed from car to car. Hundreds of others will follow these lead cars over the 12 days.

In the 9 years since the first "BLR" we have raised over £500,000 and we hope to improve this further so if you see a spotty car don't hesitate to approach and offer to sponsor a spot!!

As well as the local legs and then over to Merseyside our car "Fudge" will also be covering Kilmarnock, down through Scotland and the Lake district.

Congratulations to Toby Ransom for a nice controlled drive today at Bury. As result he has obtained his full licence. Time to take dad car shopping!!

This excellent result is due to the efforts of his family and Jason (of Jason and Mel's School of Motoring) with only tiny bits from me.

This happy lady is Ellis Meara-Smith. After the examiner at Bury this afternoon gave her the certificate to show she was now a full licence holder she was unable to take her eyes off it all the way home as I drove!!!

Congratulations and continue to drive safely and I will see you in a few weeks for a motorway session.

Despite a few nerves and having to cope with some very poor driving from others Rhian Nicols recorded a very well deserved first time pass at Cheetham Hill test Centre, Manchester, this morning.

Congratulations and thank you Rhian for keeping our 100% pass rate at this test centre intact. Continue to drive safely and hope you enjoy looking for your own car.

I look forward to a Motorway and Rural road session in a few weeks time!!

Hard to believe it’s five years since the delightful Molly brightened up the day!!
