โ๏ธ๐ FUN FACT FRIDAY! ๐โ๏ธ
Calling all Game of Thrones fans...
Did you know that author George R. R. Martin has said that a visit to Hadrian's Wall helped inspire one of the most famous features in his books? ๐คฏ
While standing on the ancient Roman wall that stretches across Northumberland, Martin imagined what it must have felt like to be a soldier guarding the edge of the known world. That experience helped inspire The Wall in A Song of Ice and Fireโthe enormous ice barrier defended by the Night's Watch! โ๏ธโ๏ธ
Of course, Hadrian's Wall isn't quite 700 feet tall and there aren't any White Walkers (that we know of... ๐), but it still sparks the imagination of visitors from around the world.
The best part? ๐๏ธ
Hadrian's Wall is just a short drive from Hareshaw Linn Caravan Park, making it the perfect day out for history lovers, walkers, and fantasy fans alike.
๐ We want to know...
If you could visit one fictional location, where would it be?
