Morning people an exciting and hot weekend was had by all in both ends of the country
In Campbeltown on this years Mach1 Stages, after 2days and 15 of the proposed 16 stages CCC cars were as follows
In 6th place and 2nd in Class were Ricky and Kai Wheeler in the Historic Ford Es**rt MK11
10th overall and 7th in Class was Ian McEwan in his Fiesta Proto with Hayden Brown alongside
21st overall and 10th in Class was Mark McMinn in his Ford Fiesta Rally 2 with Richard Wardle alongside
44th overall and 6 th in Class was navigator Gail Whyte in Nigel Atkinson’s Ford Es**rt MK11
52nd overall and 9th in Class was navigator Jess Jamieson sitting alongside Stuart (Windy) Ballantyne in a Peugeot 205
Sadly 4 CCC cars failed to finish for various reasons
Bryan Hamilton sitting in with Kieth Rowbothan with engine failure in the Es**rt
Fiona Moir sitting beside Cammy Williamson with Turbo Issues in the Subaru
Fraser Smith and Cammy Dunn in the Honda Civic with overheating problems
Richard Sykes and Adam Miller in the Suzuki Swift reason unknown
In the junior section bragging rights went to
Chloe Fleming sitting in with young Zak Furber in the Skoda Citago in 5th place
With Cheshire’s Harry Stubbs alongside William Paterson settling for 6 th overall in the Nissan Micra

Meanwhile on the Nicky Grist Stages David Breakey’s weekend didn’t start to well with his gear (helmet,suit and boots )being stuck in Amsterdam on his way from Valencia to Bristol a frantic plea saw him kitted out with borrowed kit
On the event with the budget being burst with new tyres, Dave and navigator Bob Wiggins had another good day in the Jemtech BMW Mini R50 which included a spin on SS2 retrieved with the help of spectators and 2 notional times,Dave was nevertheless delighted with 88th and 7 th in class and especially pleased with his performance amidst the rest of the Mini guys
