Morning all to nearly September, well done to Chloe Fleming on yesterdays Get Connected Mewla Rally in Wales finishing 23rd overall and winning class 9 alongside Kyle Green in the mighty Nissan Micra

Closer to home there seemed to be a fare bit of testing taking place over the weekend with a few club members getting some seat time in readiness for future events, saw Max McRae,Gordon Cunningham and Steven Smith to name a few all getting miles under their belts again

Although not club members but well done to the Jocks abroad with the 3 crews taking part in Sweden over the weekend on the East Sweden Rally

Sad news yesterday with the cancelling due to lack of entries of the Galloway Hills in September what would have been the last round of the SRC

Thanks to Black Mountain Media for the action shot from Mewla (stolen from FB)

29/08/2026

Bit late in the day but best of luck tomorrow to Chloe Fleming out again navigating for Kyle Green in a Nissan Micra in Class 9 at No 56 competing in the Get Connected Mewla Rally
Based on the Epynt Military Ranges in mid Wales

Good luck Mrs šŸšŸšŸ

Evening all a bit early cause I can a very well done to our own CCC Scottish Championship Navigator Chris Lees on his endeavours over the weekend alongside Ian Forgan in the Mercury Motorsport Fiesta Rally 2 on the Down Rally in Northern Ireland see below Ian’s take on the weekends rally

2026 Down Rally completed āœ”ļø in the Mercury Motorsport Ltd. Fiesta Rally2, finished 13th overall and 5th Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt rally championship crew.
Not without our challenges over the first two loops but finally solved a mystery problem to have the car running perfectly for the last loop setting a couple of times well within the top 10 which is where our true pace should have been. So good to have it working as it should again, makes me fall back in love with it again 🄰
Have to say a massive thank you for the welcome we have received coming over here to Ireland for the first time and the generosity of fellow competitor Derek McGeehan for the radiator after the first loop and Race & Rally for the battery after my mistake 🤭
Well done to the team for all their efforts, they worked hard for this one and of course to the new SRC Champion codriver for another faultless performance šŸ‘ŒšŸ‘šŸ‘

Morning people Kames on Sunday proved to be challenging with a very wet start to the day

But not to be beaten the crews at Muirkirk battled the elements and it did brighten up a bit

The best in the juniors after the 14 stages were car

No 56
Zak Furber and our own CHLOE FLEMING in the Skoda Citago finishing in 5 th place overall

Next was the EK boys in car 69 Thomas Campbell and Richard Ogilvie in their Citroen C1

In the senior event best were Ross Fernie again with Carluke’s BRYAN HAMILTON alongside in the rapid Subaru Impreza finishing 2nd overall and winning their class being pipped for 1st place overall by a mere 6 seconds

Sadly things didn’t go according to plan for Kenny Blair and JESSICA JAMIESON in the we Peugeot 205 Gti the problems seem to have started on SS7 and after SS8 their event was over

Well done to all and thanks again to Ian Buttery for the action shots

Morning all that’s the weekend’s Grampian Rally done for another year and what a rally
With the superstars in attendance the pace was epic and the results were predictable with the WRC boys leading the way at the end of the day

But our own Max McRae was in the midst of it setting a couple of stage fastest times but for a couple of punctures things could have been different

Best on the day in the Coltness camp were

7th overall and 7 th in Class were Max McRae and Cammy Fair in the Skoda Fabia Rally 2 also claiming P2 in the British Championship behind the Toyota Yaris of Ossian Price who finished 4th

10 th overall and 10 th in Class were Chris Lees navigating for Alex Vassallo in their WildWater Seafoods Ford Fiesta Rally 2 this result secured Chris the title of 2026 Scottish Rally Championdhip Champion Navigator šŸ šŸ‘‘

26th overall and 18th in Class went to Bob Adamson and Emma Clarke in the Volkswagen Polo R5 the Polo was not running right and an engine issue will have to be looked at before their next outing

30 th overall and 19 th in Class went to Ewan Lees sitting alongside Alan Dickson in a Ford Fiesta R5

Sadly John (JC) Crawford and navigator Josh Davidson came to grief on SS7 when the Goudies Ford Fiesta Rally 2 rolled ending their rally

Well done to all and well done to Stonehaven and District Motor Club on a great event šŸšŸ

Once again a big thank you to Ian Buttery for the action shots 🌟

07/08/2026

Best of luck also to Galston garage proprietor Gordon Cunningham and long time Navigator Stuart McManus on this weekend’s Ulster Rally in the the Mitsubishi Evo 9 running at No 29
As always Dale Dodds on the tools
Best of luck guys

Morning all as the sun rises in Milton of Crathes it’s all go for Grampian Rally where the great and the good have arrived for the next round of the Assett Alliance Scottish Rally Championship

After a successful test yesterday in Fetteresso Forest complete with some excellent advice from our own Grant Fleming and Ronnie Gray the top runners are all good to go 🤷

With 2 stages tonight and a further 8 tomorrow over a total of 56 very competitive miles

Interest is being shown from all around the globe with this event next year being the basis of WRC Scotland a new round in the World Rally Championship with Ford/Toyota/Lancia amongst others competing this year to have a look at the conditions of north east forest stages boosting the entry to over 90 cars

As usual CCC members are in the midst of it

No 1
MAX McRAE and Cammy Fair in the Assett Alliance supported Skoda Fabia Rally 2 looked after by Dom Buckley Motorsport

No 17
CHRIS LEES again out alongside Alexander Vassallo in the Alan Causey Autosport prepared WildWater Seafood’s Ford Fiesta Rally 2

No 26
Another Ford Fiesta Rally2 of JOHN (JC) CRAWFORD with navigator Josh Davidson

No 30
BOB ADAMSON in his immaculate Volkswagen Polo R5 is next this time Emma Clarke will navigate

No 37
EWAN LEES will again navigate for Alan Dickson in a Skoda Fabia R5

The action starts 17.30 tonight with a ceremonial start in Banchory and SS1 at 18.00

Good luck and be safe šŸ‘

04/08/2026

Morning all a day late and a horrible morning to wake up to but after a long weekend of rallying for Coltness registered competitors again here goes

In Cumbria in the Pendragon Stages on the ranges in Warcop best on the day

8th overall and 1st in Class
RICKY WHEELER and Marc Casey in the Historic MK11

11th overall and 8 th in Class were JAMES GIBB and Bonnie Papper in a borrowed Fiesta R5

44th overall and 19th in Class FIONA MOIR sitting in with Cammy Williamson in a Subaru Impreza

58 th overall and 8 th in Class went KENNY WATT and GAIL WHYTE in the little BMC Mini

Sadly 2 CCC cars failed to finish

ROSS CARBRY and JESS JAMIESON in the Citroen C1 didn’t manage to the finish of SS1 after an engine mount snapped and put them out the rally

The Subaru Impreza GC8 of Paul Burns with ADAM MILLAR onboard managed SS1 but with disturbing noises come from the gearbox the guys called it a day

Meanwhile at the Heroes Rally at Weeton Barracks best were

5th overall and 3rd in Class were Ross Fernie and BRYAN HAMILTON in the Subaru Impreza

26th overall and 9th in Class were Ian Martin and HARRY STUBBS not the best of days in the Ford Es**rt but without what looks like a stage maximum and notional time things could have been better

In Lincolnshire on the Dennis Turner Memorial Rally it was STEVEN BREAKEY’S first event with experienced competitor Andy Walshaw alongside in a hired BMW Mini, the lads had a ball but with only road tyres supplied they suffered 3 punctures taking stage maximum’s after a change to 2nd hand slicks this was a game changer and they set some impressive times among the minis gaining more confidence as the day went on finishing 50 th overall and 13th in Class

Unfortunately I can’t find results for Rali Da Madeira but over the weekend Kriss Meeke and STUART LOUDON were competing in a Gazoo Racing Toyota GR Yaris Rally 2 after a bad start early on with bump they climbed back setting some fastest times but as I said can’t seem to find final results but they will be back šŸ
Next week the great and the good descend on the Grampian Rally and as always CCC will be there
