Morning Peeps here we go again, the last weekend in May is upon us time flies when your having fun 😜

This weekend the only Motorsport that I can see is the 2 day Lombard Rally Festival at Drumlanrig Castle near Thornhill

On Saturday there will be a non competitive demonstration run of an array of rally cars on a purpose built rally stage

On Sunday there will be a static display of all sorts of classic and competition vehicles with interviews and all sorts of fun things

Good luck to all especially Mark McMinn in his Ford Fiesta R5 and the legend that is Craig Colvin Ritchie in his Toyota

Meanwhile in Llandudno Welsh Wales, Tuesday sees the start of the Castles Trial a 3 day HERO type Classic Car Rally with 20 tests and 20 regularities over 500 miles including a high speed run over The Great Orme

A 60 strong entry with competitors from around the world with Classes for Heritage vehicles up to 1953 and Classic vehicles from 1954 until 1985, our own Team Topp make the journey from their home in France to start at car number 28 in their Volvo Amazon

Best of luck George and Rosalind

Be safe and enjoy 🏁🏁🏁

Morning Peeps typical Scotland after a couple of tropical days looks like May Bank Holiday Weekend could be damp ☔️

Not a lot of competition in motorsport for the CCC crews this weekend so enjoy the beak

The social gathering will go ahead on Monday as normal at Larkhall Golf Club from 7.30 onwards see you there

Since the sad untimely passing of Alex last month work has been going ahead in the background to work through the tasks that he himself was in charge of and we are getting there

With that in mind anyone who requires a membership card for the club should contact CCC through messenger on FB in the first instance

Also if you have had a card sent to you and have yet to pay or if you have paid and have not yet received your club card again please get in touch

Enjoy your weekend 👍

Morning Peeps

And the sun shone for Colin

What a show 63 CC put on for one of their own

Colin Christie would have loved the whole weekend when Scottish Rallying turned out for him

From start to finish it appears to have been an amazing tribute to an amazing man, well done to all involved

CCC sole entry on this unique event were Kenny Watt and Gail Whyte in the wee Historic BMC Mini, and they smashed it with the car and the crew performing well all day, apart from the wee Red Rocket gaining a misfire on SS6 which was dealt with and 2nd in Class 9 and 37 th overall was their reward

Well done to all 🏁🏁🏁🏁

Note the three wise men !!!

24/04/2026

Morning peeps enjoy the sunshine while it lasts 🥵

This weekend should have been the Speyside Rally a round of the SRC, but due to events outwith 63 car clubs control the event had to be cancelled, in its place the club decided to run a tribute event in honour of one of their own 🌟

Colin Christie a stalwart of the club and of Scottish rallying in general sadly passed away earlier in the year and memory of Colin and all he done for motorsport in Scotland, his friends in 63CC decided to run the ‘Be More Colin’ Superstage event based in Cooper Park in Elgin

The days event consisting of 8 stages around the public park in the centre of town has an invited entry of 45 crews with a full day of close up motor sport for the fans

CCC are their with Blackwoods Kenny Watt and Ashgills Gail Whyte competing in a Historic BMC Mini at car number 42

Best of luck to all and have a safe enjoyable event

and

Be More Colin 🏁🏁🏁
