Morning people an exciting and hot weekend was had by all in both ends of the country

In Campbeltown on this years Mach1 Stages, after 2days and 15 of the proposed 16 stages CCC cars were as follows

In 6th place and 2nd in Class were Ricky and Kai Wheeler in the Historic Ford Es**rt MK11

10th overall and 7th in Class was Ian McEwan in his Fiesta Proto with Hayden Brown alongside

21st overall and 10th in Class was Mark McMinn in his Ford Fiesta Rally 2 with Richard Wardle alongside

44th overall and 6 th in Class was navigator Gail Whyte in Nigel Atkinson’s Ford Es**rt MK11

52nd overall and 9th in Class was navigator Jess Jamieson sitting alongside Stuart (Windy) Ballantyne in a Peugeot 205

Sadly 4 CCC cars failed to finish for various reasons

Bryan Hamilton sitting in with Kieth Rowbothan with engine failure in the Es**rt

Fiona Moir sitting beside Cammy Williamson with Turbo Issues in the Subaru

Fraser Smith and Cammy Dunn in the Honda Civic with overheating problems

Richard Sykes and Adam Miller in the Suzuki Swift reason unknown

In the junior section bragging rights went to

Chloe Fleming sitting in with young Zak Furber in the Skoda Citago in 5th place

With Cheshire’s Harry Stubbs alongside William Paterson settling for 6 th overall in the Nissan Micra

Mach 1 photos to follow been a long weekend for Ian Buttery Photography

Meanwhile on the Nicky Grist Stages David Breakey’s weekend didn’t start to well with his gear (helmet, suit and boots )being stuck in Amsterdam on his way from Valencia to Bristol a frantic plea saw him kitted out with borrowed kit
On the event with the budget being burst with new tyres, Dave and navigator Bob Wiggins had another good day in the Jemtech BMW Mini R50 which included a spin on SS2 retrieved with the help of spectators and 2 notional times,Dave was nevertheless delighted with 88th and 7 th in class and especially pleased with his performance amidst the rest of the Mini guys

Well done to all involved

Morning all and welcome to a scorching Friday 🥵🥵

At the beginning of the week we said a sad farewell to one of our own, on Monday with his beloved Peugeot in attendance we laid Chris Haw to rest with a fitting full house send off 🙏

The show sadly has to go on and it does, with a couple of events this weekend

On the west coast at Campbeltown it’s Mach 1 with a fair entry, 75 in the main field and 20 juniors and always CCC are there in their numbers
With 16 stages over 2 days in the sun

Morning all, Scotland’s coming home ⚽️ !!!!, that’s all the excitement over till the next time

Now down to business, not the weekend they wanted in Belgium at the Ypres Rally, but Stuart Loudon and Kris Meeke had a ball

It all started on SS1 with a puncture which they had to stop and change, on SS6 the oil cooler burst vomiting all the oil out so they retired for the day

On the Saturday the rain came down and they were sadly on slicks so it was interesting to say the least

The Big Porsche set top 5 times for the rest of the event but another puncture didn’t help

All in all a great weekend in an awesome car maybe not suited to these kind of roads with the limited suspension travel, but the car undoubtedly has the pace as in some places it’s quicker than a Rally 1 car

They say they will be back !!

All the best guys 🏁🏁🏁

All the best guys 🏁🏁🏁

Morning All a quiet one for most of us this weekend

But if you look hard enough there’s rallying going on somewhere, and if that the case we will be there

Today sees the start of the Ardeca Ypres Rally Belgium
with 21 stages over 2 days covering 250km

Uddingston’s master biscuit maker Stuart Loudon is there representing CCC with Chris Meeke in Porsche 922 Rally GT running under the banner of Jobfixers Rally Team Belgium

The Porsche is the same as the car used on last years event by Dani Sordo

Rally starts proper at 15.15 today but the guys were 9th overall and first Porsche on last night qualifying stage where only 7 seconds separates the top 10

Best of luck Stuart 🏁🏁🏁

Evening folks a bit early but under the circumstances it’s a bit short
Dark day for rallying yesterday when a young spectator was killed on SS12 on the Donegal International Rally, apparently he was one of 3 spectators who were hit by a competitor the other 2 were taken to Letterkenny’s Main Hospital where they remain
The event was immediately stopped and the rest of the event was scrapped as a mark of respect
Undoubtedly this accident will be investigated fully by MSI and the police but I fear the outcome will not do rallying any favours
Of the 2 CCC competing cars at the time if the event being stopped

IAN PARKER navigating for Gordon ( Montana ) Morrison in the 2.5 MK11 Es**rt were 51st overall and 16 th in Class 14

GREGG LITHGOW and CHLOE FLEMING in a 2.0 MK11 Es**rt were 95 th overall and 16 th in Class 13

Meanwhile in Dunoon on this years Argyll Rally of the 5 Coltness cars who started only 2 finished they were
CHRIS LEES navigating for Alexander Vassallo in a Fiesta Rally 2 were 5th overall and 4th in Class 1 and 2nd Protyre Chp points despite a excursion through a fence in the later stages

CAMERON DUNN out with Micheal Harbour in a 2.5 MK11 Ford Es**rt were 20 th overall and 5th in Class 3

EWAN LEES alongside Ian Forgan were doing ok but on SS8 on Saturday morning they suffered a light roll sustaining slight damage but the windscreen was smashed so they were unable to continue (rules)

BOB ADAMSON and HARRY STUBBS in the Polo R5 are on the results list as SS12 retired with a broken exhaust

RICHARD OGILVIE out with Stevie Black in a Peugeot 205 are on the results as retired before the last stage

Chris Leesas mentioned in another post had gotten Stickers made remembering Chris Haw who sadly passed last week

Gone but not forgotten Chris, and CCC send our condolences to the family and friends of the young lad who sadly passed in Donegal
