Member of Institute of Advanced Motorists,
RoSPA Gold and DIA member I have also featured in the BBC Traffic Cops TV series.

I retired from Hertfordshire Constabulary after 30years service. I was a Police Constable and then a Sergeant on the Road Policing Unit gaining 23+ years experience of dealing with the causes and the subsequent consequences of serious and fatal collisions across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. I attended many schools and colleges delivering road safety advice as well as working closely alongside t

he various Road Safety Units. The move into driving instruction is a natural progression, allowing me to share the knowledge and experience that I gained whilst being a Traffic Police Officer; my ultimate aim being to promote 'safe driving for life.'

WHY WHY WHY?
Driving Instructors coach people to drive safely and responsibly and then this hits the news headlines. Did the driver have a licence, did they have driving lessons or was the car stolen? Obviously we do not know the full circumstances yet, but this is the second multi fatal collision in a week involvng young people and with a car travelling on the wrong side of the road resulting in INNOCENT people dying or seriously hurt. Devastating for the police officers families and colleagues. The thin blue line has just got thinner. RIP.
