4 THINGS EVERY DRIVER SHOULD CHECK

Your tyres are the only part of your car that actually touches the road — so keeping them in good condition is essential for your safety.

🔸 Check your tread depth – The legal minimum in the UK is 1.6mm across the central ¾ of the tyre.

🔸 Check your tyre pressures – Incorrect pressures can affect handling, braking, fuel consumption and tyre wear.

🔸 Look for damage – Check for cuts, cracks, bulges or anything unusual on the tyre sidewall.

🔸 Check your tyres regularly – Don’t wait until you have a problem. A quick check could help prevent an unexpected breakdown.
