CLINTON'S GARAGE/WELDING...

I do everything from a small repair to extensive welding & fabrication work to all types of vehicles such as motorhomes, camper vans, light commercial, classic & retro cars, agricultural equipment, domestic & leisure items. I am very confident in my fabrication work & I am happy to discuss any ideas etc. The equipment I have does include tooling such as
60 ton, 8ft pr

ess brake.
8ft sheet metal guillotine.
15 tonne press. Sheet metal swager..
4 tonne, 15.9 ft ramps etc. Good range of 8x4 steel sheets, box section, tubing & angle sections in stock. I have always had a very good reputation for DPF & Catalytic converter/exhaust repairs from many places & other garages. This does include modification & or general repair of standard systems, even on motorcycles, machines etc. I always remove all previous patch work and rot. Make new steel replacement sections etc. All my work is seam welded & as a rule, i use a minimum of 16 gauge/1.6mm up to 3mm on jacking points, commercials, 4x4's etc. Painted in 2 coats of 95% pure zinc paint/coating inside & out, then finished with vehicle colour. I myself will always be respectful & discuss faults/issues/status & costings before any work is even attempted/done. I am quite flexible & happy to help providing the timing is correct. No welding quote on a large job will ever be given until the vehicle has been examined by myself & the owner together. Only fair in my opinion. I can do the odd evening & weekend providing its suitable for me. I do think my old school values/ways & true honest fabrication is the only way. Many thanks. Clinton.

Started making more equipment in preparation.........

I've made this to work with all of my project vehicle's that have lower sill edges.

This will also work as a very handy frame for multiple fabrication jobs due to how i have designed it.

Photo's are in start to finish order.

I know i go way over the top but i do because I can! πŸ‘ŒβœŒοΈπŸ˜….

Another bit of what sort of thing happens behind the scenes.

Does anyone know of anyone who owns a proper nice tube bender?

Im considering buying a Bayleigh or JD Squared unit with equipment.
Unless alternatives are available/suggested that do actually meet the standard of these or are extremely similar

Want to have a good look at 1 & work 1 before purchasing.

I need it for my projects ie roll cages etc.
I do honestly think that this will enable me to further my ability to make alot more things for the public also.

Railings, safety equipment, trailers, garden/kids play equipment etc.
List is endless really.
Especially with my ability to think outside the box

Front of rear leaf spring suspension mounts.
Fiat Ducato, CitroΓ«n Relay & Peugeot Boxer.....

Becoming a very common mot failure due to corrosion, if yours has been advised on an mot then please get it sorted due to the safety of yourselves & the weight your vehicles are.

Roughly speaking Β£80 used to be the average price.
So i repaired this 1.
3mm & seam welded obviously πŸ™ƒ.

I get more & more people enquiring about welding & what they should be looking out for.

I think this is because I publicly show examples of unsatisfactory welding before I chop it all off

Yes i get the fact welding isn't for everyone but.......
It annoys me seeing good people tucked up by crap workmanship which also includes the fabrication or prep if you like.

If it's lumpy, scattered, looks like its sat on top then its poor.
Pe*******on is a must!

It's also very wise to remember ( & this is from multiple good mot inspectors ) that if a panel is cut in to or the plate is to cover the hole/s then it has to be seam welded.
Commonly see these half hearted jobs on sills, floors etc.
Spot welds only where spot welded originally & correct thickness of steel must be used.

Over the last 18 months i have noticed a lot more ladies enquiring also which is encouraging.

Ladies don't ever be concerned about asking questions, it's your money & to be fair, we all want to be looked after.
I do believe men ask their mates, ladies go to where they are recommended.

The rules are very clear on the DVSA websites etc & i have also added poor welds to good welds so its clear to see as per photos below.

NEW TOYS TO KEEP ME ENTERTAINED.......
If or when i ever find the time πŸ˜…!!

This is an introduction to a new service i will be providing later in the yr once ive got my head around these & once ive gained more experience & knowledge.
This is once i have also caught up with work.

I struggle with a mobile phone so these are πŸ§πŸ˜²πŸ˜….

Late last yr i chose to invest in Laser Technology from Horizon Laser.
Really well worth a look on Facebook etc etc...

I have chosen to go full on with it which will enable me to provide the best possible results from this specialist equipment.

I've gone for the best i can get without being daft.

This will enable me to Laser clean alsorts of metal items including vehicles, agricultural, commercial, industrial equipment, domestic odds & sods including garden implements, wood, stone etc.
Almost anything really!

I will be able to weld steel, aluminum, brass & copper.

Laser cut serious thicknesses etc.

2 machine's were purchased.
Both machine's, additional equipment & consumables weighed from memory 435kg, nearly half a ton.

The large 1, 3phase 3000w will provide me with everything mentioned.
Came with a triple wire feeder which will hold & work 3 different welding wires etc.

The 2nd machine is 240v 2000w.
Which is at a different location for private usage.
Both water cooled etc as the power & ability of these machines is superb.

I chose to go that little extra with the big 1 & had a 15metre torch/lance made so will be able to work outside also.

I will shout once this service is public, until then, they are being used privately in preparation.

They’re both kept under CCTV.
We all know, I’m pretty handy at making steel frames etc… so they’re ridiculously secure πŸ˜…πŸ‘

Thankyou πŸ‘

Worked saturday till late & today 3- 7.20pm & even on a bank holiday monday people pop in πŸ™„πŸ™„.
I fail to see why people do pop in for a chat, I'm hardly interesting nor have i ever got any gossip etc πŸ˜….

Last few days been on with a couple VW T4's.
Inner arches, front arch repairs, replacement outer front sills, rear sill repair.
Chose to also cover with the protective sealer vw, bmw etc use.
Decided to blow some paint over the grey 1 even though i am definitely no Picasso nor do i ever try to be 😬

175 fibre/sanding discs.

Some people underestimate how much consumables cost businesses.

Cheap one's are a waste of space.
