This is what can happen when the transmission cooler gradually leaks coolant into the transmission. The friction plates delaminate from their steel backing plates causing loss of drive.
You can see the excessive wear on the pump due to poor lubrication. The pump is fragile enough already on this transmission.

We don't get a lot of Honda transmissions for rebuild but here's a 6 speed CRV box, badly burned clutch packs and a damaged return spring causing complete loss of drive. Full recondition with gaskets seals, new friction and steel plates, rebuilt torque converter will be required.

WE'RE HIRING!

Due to business growth we're looking 2 recruit 2 technicians to join our team.
The roles available are as follows:

Transmission fitter - this role will mainly involve the removal & refitting of transmissions along with servicing, diagnostics & general maintenance.

Transmission specialist - this role would suit a time served technician with a deep knowledge of working in a main dealer environment who can bring their skills and knowledge to assist with further business development. The role will be heavily based around the stripping and repairing/rebuilding of transmissions. Previous experience of working on transmissions is highly desirable.

Generous hourly rates are offered with both roles - full driving licence and own tools is essential. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

This Shelby Mustang in for transmission refresh, a few problems were present. Previously had a leak from the pump repaired with silicone, why they didn't change the seal I don't know, the hard part was taking the box out!
The input shaft splines were twisted - I wonder how that happened 😳
All stripped cleaned and resealed ready for reassembly.
