It’s been the month for wet belts here at Almoto!✅

1. Transit Ecoblue🚐
1. Focus Ecoboost💨

Still to this day, not everyone knows about the wet belt system on some vehicles and how important it is to have it changed at the correct intervals or sooner! 🔎

We know these are not the cheapest to replace but it’s much cheaper and far less hassle than having to replace your engine! ❌

Mercedes!!! 😠

We recently had this Mercedes B200 AMG in due to a fault warning message on the dash ‘auxiliary battery malfunction’. ❌

After some diagnosing we suspected a faulty auxiliary battery, but… we couldn’t find it! 👀
After doing some research and speaking to a Mercedes specialist, we were finally able to locate it, underneath the centre console inside the car! 🤣

Once we finished our game of hide and seek, we tested the 12volt battery and found it to be a little under powered at 0.27volts, so our suspicions were correct! We got the little battery replaced and the customer sent on their way! 🚗

Time for the tanks! 💪

We recently had 3 Volvos here all within one week! Each of them with the same engine but 3 separate faults.🤔

1st in for a rattling noise, which turned out to be a faulty crankshaft pully (we also did cambelt water pump at the same time as it was due!) 🛠️

2nd in for Engine management light on which turned out to be a swirl flap and EGR issue.📈

And then the 3rd also had Engine management light on which turned out to be a EGR and cooler issue!📉

We love a Volvo as well as fords but as much as they are built like tanks… they still go wrong! 😢

3 vans in 2 days for us, keeping local business’s safe on the roads! ✅

• Ford Transit in for adblue fault diagnosis, brake discs/pads (with all new bolts!) and a CV boot! 📉

• Vauxhall Vivaro in for brake discs/pads and a shock absorber! 🧰

• And another Vauxhall Vivaro in for a new egr and cooler unit! 🛠️

We don’t just do cars here at Almoto but vans too! 👍

We called, you answered! 👍🏎️

We recently posted up calling out to ST and RS owners (and Ford owners in general) and not long after that we had some calls! 💪📞

First up was this beautiful and quite rare, pearl white mk2 St! This particular car had broken a driveshaft, so we got it in to replace the pair with genuine parts from Ford. Whilst we were there, we uprated the lower gearbox mount with a powerflex polybush. ✅
🏎️💨

Secondly was this awesome asbo Mk3 RS! The customer of this car was experiencing an exhaust rattle and a fume smell inside the cab. After inspection we found the downpipe had been poorly fitted, so we removed the turbo to replace the studs as they had been cross-threaded in, we then got the turbo back on with all new gaskets and nuts genuine from Ford!
