Today we’re celebrating the big 4-0 for the boss!

Most people know Dave as the face of Drive Green Vehicle Services, but to us he’s also the one with the big ideas, the terrible jokes, the endless energy, and the habit of somehow finding himself involved in just about everything.

Whether he’s at the garage, supporting the local community, spending time with his family, or planning his next project, he gives everything 100%.

40 is a big milestone, and we couldn’t let the day pass without wishing him a very Happy Birthday and thanking him for everything he does.

🧠💚 Mental Health Monday 💚🧠

This week’s Mental Health Monday is a little more personal for us.

Our son, Dylan, is currently halfway through his GCSE exams, and like thousands of young people across the country, he’s working hard, dealing with the pressure, and doing his very best.

Watching your child go through exams can be stressful for parents too. You want them to succeed, but it’s important to remember that their wellbeing matters far more than any grade.

To all the students sitting exams right now: be proud of yourselves. The hard work, commitment, and effort you’ve put in already deserve recognition. Exams don’t define who you are or what you’ll achieve in life.

And to all the parents and families supporting them: keep encouraging, keep listening, and remind them that they’re valued and loved regardless of the results.

From all of us at Drive Green Vehicle Services, we wish every student the very best of luck during exam season. Keep going – you’re doing better than you think. 💚

Last week we had Andy from Saffron Cooling back in with us to carry out some preventative maintenance on the air conditioning system he originally installed for us, and once again the service was absolutely spot on 👌

Andy was shocked to see just how busy we’ve been keeping up with everyone’s vehicle air conditioning repairs and servicing lately! ❄️🚗

🏁 Lewis and Dan had an incredible day out yesterday at the British Touring Car Championship qualifying at Snetterton Circuit thanks to LKQ Euro Car Parts for the amazing hospitality tickets!

From the grid walk to getting behind the scenes access into the garages, it was a brilliant experience from start to finish. A full day surrounded by top level motorsport, great atmosphere and being really well looked after throughout 👌

Another big job completed by Dan this week at Drive Green Vehicle Services 🔧💚

This 2020 Kia Ceed came into us suffering with turbocharger issues after the original unit began passing oil through the system. After carrying out full diagnostics and inspections, we confirmed the turbo had failed and required replacement.

To ensure reliability and performance, we fitted a genuine BorgWarner turbocharger unit along with all the correct supporting parts and carried out the necessary oil system checks before recommissioning the vehicle.

Another happy customer back on the road with their vehicle performing exactly as it should 🚗💨

We always tell customers not to ignore warning lights on their vehicles… but sometimes we ignore our own.

Stress, tiredness, pressure and burnout can creep up slowly, especially when life and work get busy.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is take 10 minutes for yourself — whether that’s a walk, the gym, a bike ride, a coffee in peace or simply talking to someone.

Another one in this week with a serious overheating issue 🔥🚗

This Vauxhall Zafira came to us after the water pump finally gave up and seized… and it didn’t take long to see why 👀

The pump had previously been fitted incorrectly using silicone instead of the correct method 😬 — which is never a good idea and unfortunately led to failure.

We’ve now put things right the proper way 👍
✔️ New cambelt kit fitted
✔️ New water pump installed correctly
✔️ System checked and running exactly as it should

A good reminder that cutting corners can end up costing more in the long run 💸

If your vehicle is overheating or doesn’t seem quite right, don’t ignore it — get it checked before it turns into a bigger job!
