Just wanted to say a thank you to Steve at Practical (my dad) for the loan of a wheelchair, and to share my experience. As a non wheelchair user we spent a planned day in London with my family including (husband with his hurt foot). While we normally take mobility for granted it certainly opened our eyes to the added complications that comes from having mobility issues. We encountered long detours to find suitable slopes, a very cobbeld South Bank (something that looks pleasing but is less suitable for a chair) we also encountered very kind people who helped when I couldn’t manage a stair and when we boarded the already booked Thames Clipper. For us it was certainly a learning curve, while for many it’s your everyday. I know that when you walk into a showroom it can be daunting with the choice of equipment available, at Practical the team are really dedicated to helping you make the right choice for your mobility.
