🎄 We know, we know… it’s only October and we’re already mentioning the ‘C’ word! 😬

But this is for a very good reason… 🎁❤️

This year we’re supporting The Community Friend Christmas Toy Appeal, helping make sure local children have something special to open on Christmas morning.

And we’d love your help!

We’re collecting new and excellent-condition pre-loved toys and gifts for children and young people aged 0–18.

📍 Where to donate:
Southern Motor Contracts
B2 Endeavour Business Park
Penner Road, Havant, PO9 1QN

📅 When: Drop donations into our office anytime between now and 25th October.

With lots of early Christmas toy offers already starting, if you spot a bargain while you’re out shopping, why not grab an extra one and help make Christmas a little more special for a local child? 🎁

Every donation, big or small, will make a difference. ❤️

We have a great selection of vehicles being listed daily via Auto Trader....but we’re not your typical “buy & sell” used car dealership.

Every vehicle we advertise is owned by us from new, with a full service history, and has previously been out with our clients on business lease.

When those vehicles come back to us, we carefully select only the very best examples to retail. We take pride in doing things properly - from the vehicle’s history and condition through to the preparation and customer experience.

If you’re looking for a quality, well maintained used car with complete provenance, keep an eye on our Auto Trader listings.

We’re always here to help, so if you’re looking for something specific, get in touch. 👍

⛳💙 What a day! 💙⛳

Last week we hosted our annual SMC Golf Day, and we just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a fantastic day.

Whether you were battling the tough course conditions, enjoying the sunshine, networking with fellow golfers or simply having a laugh with friends old and new, we hope you had as much fun as we did! (Although we all agreed a little more green grass next year wouldn't go amiss! 😅🌱)

A huge congratulations to all of our competition winners, there were some brilliant scores out there!

The biggest win of the day, though, was for our amazing charity partner, Motiv8. ❤️

Thanks to your incredible generosity, you raised an outstanding £1,820. We were delighted to match that, taking the total to £3,640, and thanks to The Big Give, that amount will be doubled again to an incredible £7,280 to help support local young people.

We honestly can't thank everyone enough. From everyone who played, sponsored a hole, donated prizes, bought mulligans, took part in the silent auction or simply supported the day in any way... you helped make a real difference.

We love bringing everyone together each year, and we can't wait to do it all again in 2027! ⛳

📸 Feel free to tag yourself and your teammates in the photos, and if you've got any pictures from the day, we'd love to see them in the comments!

We’re committed to continuing to provide honest advice, quality vehicles, and outstanding customer service every step of the way.

Here’s to another great year! 🚗⭐

🔋🚗 Ignore the negativity around used EVs for a moment and look at the actual data...

This 2023 Skoda Enyaq iV 80 (82kWh) has just returned into stock, and it's exactly why I think the market needs more facts and less headlines.

📊 Auto Trader Retail Rating: 99/100
⏱️ Average days to sell: 23 days
💷 Advertised at just £17,490 inc VAT

Before it goes live, I ran a full battery health assessment:

✅ 93% State of Health
✅ 63,466 miles covered
✅ 239 equivalent full charge cycles
✅ Battery condition rated: EXCELLENT

And perhaps most importantly...

🛡️ Battery warranty remaining:
• 5 years 2 months
• 36,534 miles

So, a three year old EV with over 63,000 miles still retaining 93% battery health and substantial manufacturer battery cover remaining.

For anyone considering the switch to electric and wanting a practical family sized SUV with impressive range, this represents outstanding value.

Sometimes it's worth stepping away from the noise and focusing on the evidence sitting right in front of you.
