A massive congratulations to River on passing her driving test today on her first attempt, with only 2 driving faults! 👏

Even better, the examiner had some fantastic praise for River, commenting on how relaxed he felt and what a great drive she had delivered.

Safeguarding is a responsibility we take seriously at Lloyds Driver Training.

We are pleased to share that another 9 of our instructors and trainees have successfully qualified in safeguarding.

For us, safeguarding is not simply about completing a course or holding a certificate. It is about having the knowledge and awareness to recognise potential concerns, understand our responsibilities, and know how and to whom those concerns should be reported.

Around 80% of our pupils are children and young adults, which makes safeguarding an essential part of our responsibility as a driver training organisation.

Our role goes beyond teaching people to drive. We work closely with young people, often building relationships with them over many months. This places us in a position where awareness, professional responsibility and knowing how to respond appropriately really matter.

At Lloyds Driver Training, we are committed to ensuring that all our instructors and trainees are safeguarding qualified. We want our team to feel confident in recognising concerns and understanding the correct procedures to follow.

We believe professional development must extend beyond driving instruction. It should include the knowledge, skills and responsibilities needed to protect and support the people we work with.

🎉 A huge congratulations to Jenny! 🎉

Jenny passed her driving test yesterday on her first attempt! 🚗👏

Jenny did all the right things throughout her learning journey, having regular lessons each week and getting out in her own car whenever she could to build up her experience and confidence.

She was understandably nervous on the day, but all that hard work, commitment and preparation paid off, and she came away with a well-deserved pass!

🎉🚗 THREE SUCCESSFUL TEST PASSES IN THREE WEEKS! 🚗🎉

A huge congratulations to Tracey and Karen, who both passed their DVSA Part 3 tests at Lee-on-the-Solent, and to Katie, who passed her DVSA Part 2 test at Chichester! 👏

It’s also fantastic to have five more women at different stages of their instructor training with Lloyds Driver Training.

I couldn’t recommend Keith enough! From my first lesson with him, he was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. He has a brilliant sense of humour and is always so patient and understanding, especially when it comes to learning new things or making mistakes!

Keith doesn’t just teach you how to pass your test, he teaches you how to actually drive and feel confident on the roads. From teaching me how to fill up with petrol, drive on motorways and practising things like reversing around corners, despite it no longer being on the test, he really does make sure you're prepared for driving independently.

He was also incredibly flexible and accommodating throughout, always happy to fit in extra lessons or rearrange things around my test to make sure I felt as prepared and confident as possible. He was always willing to work around what suited me best, which made the whole experience so much easier and less stressful.

I passed my test yesterday with 1 minor and genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!

Ava passed her driving test this morning on her first attempt, with just 1 driving fault! 🚗👏

Ava was super keen to get out on the road, starting with one lesson a week before increasing to two lessons a week as her test approached. She also put in extra practice in her own car, which really helped her prepare.

A fantastic drive and a very well-deserved pass! Enjoy the freedom of the road, Ava, and stay safe out there! 🥳🚘

🚗 DRIVING INSTRUCTORS – INVEST IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WITH SAFEGUARDING TRAINING! 🛡️

Safeguarding is an essential part of being a professional driving instructor. We work closely with children, young people and vulnerable adults, often in a one-to-one environment, and it’s important that we understand our responsibilities and know how to recognise and respond to concerns.

At Lloyds Driver Training, we are offering the Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF).

This is an interactive, full-day online course designed to give you practical knowledge and confidence that you can apply to your role as a driving instructor.

📚 What will you learn?

✅ Understand safeguarding legislation and responsibilities
✅ Recognise signs and indicators of abuse and neglect
✅ Understand how to respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns
✅ Learn about reporting and recording procedures
✅ Develop your confidence in protecting pupils and yourself as a professional

🎓 A recognised qualification – not just Zoom attendance!

This course is about more than simply logging into an online session. It is an interactive learning experience, with discussion and practical scenarios relevant to your work as a driving instructor.

To achieve the qualification, candidates must complete an assessment. At the end of the course, each candidate will have a 10-minute one-to-one assessment to demonstrate their understanding and meet the qualification requirements.
