***Motor vehicle technician job opportunity for 2026***

Here at Ken’s garage we’re looking to welcome a new member to join our team. Soon We finally be able to carry out class 4 MOT( just waiting for authority approval and sign off but everything in the station it installed, up to date and in place and underway!) all equipment is installed , Diagnostics,Service and repairs to all makes and models of cars vans and light commercial vehicles….

Duties will include….
Servicing and repairs, timing belts, exhausts , clutches, brakes, tyres,tracking,diagnostics etc… general workshop upkeep (keeping your designated work area clean and tidy!)

Working hours 8:30-5:30 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for dinner (12-1)plus a morning and afternoon brew break!
We’re a busy garage with overtime available!
And the benefits of out of hours use of ramps for your own projects/ jobs providing it doesn’t affect garage working hours!
We are looking to be opening alternate Saturdays but that’s that’s obviously optional

Applicant must hold full uk driving licence, minimum nvq level 3 qualification and have there own hand tools (specialist tools and work wear provided) MOT Tester would be a bonus but not essential….. ( the right candidate will have the opportunity to become an mot tester when the application transition is completed and we are up and running)

we are open to consider level 2 to the right candidate but unfortunately we have already committed to a level 1 candidate apprentice to start this year so we cannot commit to training someone up from scratch in the upcoming year!

Further training can be provided as we move with the times, e.g hybrid/ev courses, a/c courses. We want to move with the times and be able to provide as many available services in the ever changing industry!

We will be open to applications to self employed positions with flexible days/hours aslong as the candidates days/hours are realistic, reliable and our clients are not let down with there bookings!

This l200 failed mot on a number of things but the biggy was the corrosion on this rear crossmember/ spare wheel carrier….. it’s not something available to buy so we had to fabricate up this for the job!! This l200 is back road worthy, on the road with a very happy customer 🙂✌️
