Pools Youth U8 Greens Vs Whitburn & Cleadon Lions.

The Greens returned to the spring cup today after a week off!

Following defeat in the first game the Greens were out to avenge that loss and just that they did!

The instructions to the boys where to utilise the skills and techniques we had been practicing in training and that’s exactly what they did! The passing was phenomenal today from every individual on the pitch. Starting out from the back to maintain possession the boys put together a host of passes with a brilliant give and go from Rocco and Brodie to put the Greens in front! The Greens capitalised on loose ball from the opposition keeper to double the advantage. Whitburn made some tactical substitutions and this paid off with them managing to find 2 goals in quick response.

Second half was different story the Greens dominated possession and controlled the game impressively, again stringing passes together like we haven’t seen from them before! A disallowed free kick goal which was over the line and a goal against us which was a foul on the keeper having had both hands on the ball rounded off a win for the greens and the first 3 points on the board in the spring cup.
