DENZA is set to launch in the UK this year, and there has already been plenty of coverage around what BYD’s premium brand could bring to the market.

It is not just another new EV badge. DENZA is expected to sit above BYD, with a focus on electric and plug-in hybrid models that lean more towards premium design, technology, and performance.

From grand tourers to luxury MPVs and SUVs, the brand could add something different to the UK leasing market as more drivers become familiar with BYD and its wider group of brands.

At the end of last month, we had the chance to spend some time with the Jeep Compass. It’s something a bit different in the compact SUV market, and not just because of the colour. 🌵

The Compass has smart looks, a practical shape and enough road presence to stand out without feeling overdone.

It also feels like a more sensible option than some might expect. Decent powertrains, good interior space and a roomy boot make it a competitive choice for drivers who want everyday usability with a bit more character.

Volkswagen has revealed the new ID. Polo, and it feels like a significant moment for small electric cars. The Polo has been part of everyday driving for 50 years. It’s familiar, practical and easy to understand, which is why bringing the name into Volkswagen’s electric ID. range makes sense.

For many drivers, this is the kind of EV that could make the switch feel more natural. Compact enough for daily driving, familiar enough to feel like a Volkswagen, and electric without trying too hard to look different.

It also says a lot about where the market is heading. More brands are focusing on electric cars that feel usable, accessible and built around real driving needs.
