I've helped many, many people gain their freedom on the roads and improve their driving over the years but it occurred to me that no one has actually assessed MY skills behind the wheel since I qualified as an ADI in 2013.

With that in mind, I thought it was time to get a second opinion so I signed up for the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driving Course. I'm delighted to say that I passed my assessment and am now a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

It's never too late to ask for help, so if you passed your test ages ago but are still nervous on the roads, tackling roundabouts, parking or anything else, please contact me.

A fabulous, well-deserved first time pass for the lovely, camera-shy Charlie in a very grey Bishop's Stortford this morning. I'm not sure that the examiner has ever been asked so many questions during a test, but it was great to see such a confident drive through near constant chat! Well done Charlie and keep safe out there.

The end of an era. With a heavy heart, tomorrow I wave off my trusty sidekick of 3 years...the lovely Pedro. He's never let me down and has put up with love and abuse from my learners like a loyal puppy. Farewell, Pedro, it's been a blast. Wishing you many more years of test passes and safe travels.
