Hello, I am Dougie Gibbons, an Approved Driving Instructor providing manual driving lessons across Hamilton, Motherwell, Strathaven and the surrounding Lanarkshire areas.
I have been teaching learner drivers for well over 10 years and bring a strong background in road safety, traffic law and practical driving experience. Before becoming a driving instructor, I served for 30 years as a police officer, including 15 years in the Traffic Department. That experience has helped shape a calm, structured and safety-focused approach to teaching.
My aim is to help every student become a safe, confident and capable driver. I understand that learning to drive can feel daunting, so lessons are delivered with patience, encouragement and clear guidance. Whether you are a complete beginner, returning to driving, or looking for support in the run-up to a test, I will work with you at a pace that suits your ability and confidence.
