On late model Beetles, the areas under the rear vents tends to rust out, not helped by VW squirting a load of foam in this cavity.
The way I fixed this problem area on the Last Edition Beetle was to cut out the corrosion and weld in a new panel from a Mexican Beetle that was getting broken for spares.

Spitfires, Hurricanes, Buchons, Mustangs, a P-38 and a fly past of the Battle of Britain memorial flight Lancaster were among the many other fantastic aeroplanes from WW2 today at Church Fenton courtesy of Flying Legends.
A fantastic day out and sitting in a Spitfire cockpit was a highlight for me and Jacob.

What the hell are these? Utter rubbish, and not suited to a 60 year old Volkswagen Beetle, and look at the state of the wiring……….. weekend mechanics with good intentions maybe, but honestly look at it, this type of work is carried out by people that get advice off internet forums from other non mechanics, if they get this wrong what about the brakes, engine, steering etc?
