It was brilliant to meet so many people, new faces and old, and we loved hearing about your classics and seeing the big smiles of people driving away after AC had worked his magic.

The King of SU Carbs, AC Dodd, has landed at ADO Restoration.

Adrian is set to tune a whopping 23 cars across three days, with everything rolling under the shutter including Minis, Metros, Morris Minors, Mokes, Hornets and even an Elf!

If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about tuning or how this incredibly clever man can make a classic car outperform manufacturer brochure specs from new, come along to our open evening on Saturday 13th June 5pm - 8pm.

There will be classics, cake, custom painting in vehicles and of course, carb tuning and best of all? It’s all absolutely FREE.

We’ve been baking for our open day event and unlike most companies, we skipped putting our logos on the cakes and instead, opted for our workshop mascot 😂

If you didn’t already have it in your calendar, the event is happening on Saturday 13th June between 5pm and 8pm and we’d love to see you there.

Is this our most exciting restoration of the year?

This Riley Adelphi comes to us with an interesting back story.

Bought new in 1938, this Riley was sold in Blackpool to a gentleman who kept the car until he passed away in the 1950s.

His family then kept hold of it, but didn’t drive it, selling it in 2025 to the new custodian who wants to see it back on the road again.

Every car we work on is special, but this one feels somehow a little different. We will be honouring the heritage, retaining original detail where we can and bringing it back to the road for a second life.

Riley described this pre-war motor as a masterpiece and we couldn’t agree more.

We recently welcomed a Morris Minor into the bodyshop, which was in need of some repairs to corroded areas.

Ed has been busily getting on with those and has made the piece to fit into the floor which he’s cut out.
