Today marks a very special day for our team, we now have keys to our new building, from Monday we will be starting to build our new audio showroom for people to visit and see and hear our products, we will have a wonderful range of audio products, sound deadening and all our Presto Connect parts on display. The other critical thing is we have much more space for new staff etc and we have teamed up with The North VAG Solutions who will be offering installations of our kits in our old building.

Volkswagen MK5 Caddy in with us to have a tow-bar and electrics fitted and coded, custom had been told by countless companies that this service is not possible by any means! We’ve proved them wrong, we have the proper dealer tools required to unlock the SFD protected modules code and re-lock

VW Caddy MK4

Volkswagen MK4 Caddy in with us to have a custom translator installed getting his VW MK8 golf steering wheel working.

While the vehicle was with us the customer also opted to have his red needles converted to blue!

VW Transporter T5.1

VW T5.1 in with us for cruise control supplied and fitted, all work was carried out to a factory standard and all new genuine parts were used!

It’s a good job I enjoy doing these! We have a couple vans in each week at the moment for this job!

VW Transporter 5.1

Volkswagen T5.1 in for cruise control fitting, we upgraded the BCM to a highline BCM and fitted all necessary wiring.

We did come out to this vehicle a few weeks prior to fit cruise control and found that a previous install had been attempted and butchered! We ended up needing to replace the full plug depinning all pins and repinning into a new plug, we needed to do this before we could do a proper job!

VW Transporter 6.1

Volkswagen T6.1 in for his audio system upgrading, vehicle has previously had a hertz system installed which the customer wasn’t happy with, we removed these speakers to find they had started to degrade from water ingress and the overall quality of the install was subpar.

We installed are 5 stage sound deadening package ensuring the new speakers had the best environment to play in. We installed some of the top of the range feelers woofers and tweeters along with the Feelart F68 DSP Amplifier!

Safe to say the customer is happy with the end results!

VW Transporter 5.1

VW T5.1 in for are special touch!

Vehicle had previously had an “audio upgrade” fitted with some rainbow speakers and tweeters, customer had found after around 12 month that the mid-woofers were no longer producing any sound and instead just had the tweeter.

We discussed potential issues and repair options along with sound deadening packages that we offer and the customer opted for are 5 stage sound deadening package, an Alpine Halo 9, woofers in the door and the rear of the vehicle sound deadened.

On initially removing the door panels we found that the speakers had been installed with MDF ring which had absorbed water and failed, passenger side being the worst where the woofer was floating around in the door card. We then found that the connection between the crossovers and the speaker had failed and when tested the speakers were actually okay so we opted to keep the current speakers and save the customer some money as a replacement was not required, new plastic rings where installed after we had finished sound deadening the doors

The 5 stage sound deadening treatment includes the outer skin covered in sound deadening material and a dense insulation/deadening material provided by Prosound, we then applied more sound seaming material to both the outer skin and door card before finishing off with acoustic foam on the back off the door card. All off this work gives the speakers a good environment to play in producing a much better sound over not installing any sound deadening material.

The Alpine Halo 9 provided us with a nice and clean signal that we could send to the speakers and time align giving a nice centre image.

All work was documented and sent to the customer so that they can see exactly what was done and the quality of the work!

VW Crafter

VW Crafter in with us for the week having some massive upgrades! This crafter started out life as a basic start line van with the very bottom rage radio. It’s now leaving us with a stunning Alpine Halo 11! While this vehicle was in with us we not only fitted a brand new radio we’ve also fitted the following, reversing camera, stage 1 sound upgrade, ambient lighting, Multifuntion steering wheel with adaptive cruise control and all the necessary wiring to add rear speakers when the vehicle has been fitted out as a camper van!

Stage 1 audio package in the crafters incudes the premium Esatto audio speakers, the door has been fully sound deaden and the door card deadening and acoustic foam applied, to seal the door back up we used the CTK foal this creates a nice tight seal agains the door and works much better then just sound deadening over the hole! A small adjustments were made in the radio to time align the speakers and crossovers to stop the radio sending bass frequencies to the door woofers.

Genuine VW adaptive cruise control steering wheel supplied and fitted along with the front assist sensor recalibrated for adaptive cruise control. This specific vehicle also required an extra wiring running to the ecu, with the vehicle not being equipped with cruise control from factory this wire is missing and without it cruise control will not work.
