Hare Motors are currently recruiting for an Experienced MOT Tester/Vehicle Mechanic/Technician (Level 3 minimum) in our premises on Keighley Road, Halifax. We are a busy family-owned garage and offer a small, friendly and relaxed work environment that is customer focused. You will be working on a full range of car brands.

Hours – Full time Monday to Friday 08.30-5.30
Saturday 08.30 to 12.30 (negotiable)
Must be flexible in busy periods
Salary – From £25,000pa + dependent on experience
Location – HX2 9LL
Day-to-day duties
Fully qualified and approved by the DVSA to carry out MOT tests
Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
Completing all documentation to the required standard
Liaising with customers
Essential skills
An enthusiastic and motivated MOT Tester who is willing to assist the rest of the branch team when there are no tests booked in
Qualified to NVQ level 3 with solid work experience in the automotive industry,
MOT LICENSE REQUIRED
Ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own.
Strong communication skills.
Good attention to detail.
The ability to carry out work to high standards to deadlines.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach.
Ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions.
A full, clean driving license
Own tools essential
Licence/Certification:
NVQ LEVEL MOT TESTER (required)
MOT LICENCE AND UK DRIVING LICENCE (required)
