An examiner once said these very words to a pupil of mine after they had not passed due to hesitation;

"you can be at a junction for 5 minutes and not hesitate. You can be at a junction for 30 seconds and hesitate several times. Its not going quickly from the junction, it is taking the safe gaps when they arrive"

So many worry about 'taking too long'! Do what's safe. Take your time
