2017 Skoda superb had an intermittent overheating problem, as you can see the electronic shutter had seized over the impellers of the old pump causing poor coolant circulation, new cambelt and water pump in genuine parts and problem solved 👍

A great find from one of our techs today, had a 2014 polo 1.4tsi that kept cutting out but only when raining, after running some diag it was found that the wiper mechanism was rubbing on the main engine wiring loom and shorting it out (hence the fault occurring only while raining)

All affected wires were repaired and the loom repositioned, all fixed! A happy customer as we were the third guarage to inspect the issue with the previous two unable to get to the bottom of it

So here we have a 2016 Range Rover sport with a leaking drive fl**ge seal from the transfer box, this job meant we had to completely remove the transfer box and remove the drive fl**ge from behind, turns out the support bearing had a small amount of play causing the seal to leak

A genuine repair kit was available from JLR including the bearing, drive fl**ge and seal, all done at a fraction of the dealer prices

Still Open For business!

We can understand that most people are not currently thinking about vehicle repairs or maintenance but just to let all our customer know that we are here for them should the worse happen and a problem arise with their car.

We are also happy to come out to you and check the issue on site and if a simple repair can be carried out there and then, we will endeavour to do so, while adhering to the required social distancing and maintaining strict cleanliness

MOTs have now been postponed for 6 months but we predict a sizeable rush to clear the backlog when that period expires so why not book in to have your MOT done and miss the rush, we are again happy to collect and drop off your vehicle

Government restrictions

Due to the recently announced government restrictions we have been reviewing wether we are classed as an essential service. Currently MOT tests are still required and going ahead so we will remain open unless we are instructed otherwise to conduct MOT and essential repair work only with priority given to those who fall under the category of key workers.

We will be exercising a zero contact drop off and collection procedure explained below

1. Collection and drop off is offered to all customers locally

2. If visiting the garage the reception will be closed, all cars are to be parked outside with keys left in the car, if the attention of a member of staff can not be got, then please phone the garage number to inform us the vehicle is on site

3. Payment will only be made over the phone and your car will be left outside with the keys at a designated place inside, we will antibacterial wipe your car down before collection

4. MOST IMPORTANTLY if you feel unwell or display symptoms then PLEASE do not visit the garage!

After a few comments it seems trying to reach out and help people with their vehicle needs in a genuine and unmotivated way in this current period is deemed to be ‘taking advantage of the general public’ we thought it best to state what everyone probably knows already

-The government has granted a 6 month extension on all public/light goods vehicles so the test is no longer required. If your vehicle expired before the announcement then it still has to be conducted
