My vehicle shakes on the motorway since my new tyres were fitted and balanced so the customer stated, somehow I don’t think they were telling the truth to him about the balancing, quite clearly the balance weights had never been touched from the last Tyres that where taken off 🤨😞🙈

If you don’t spend your time when changing a set of pads then they can wear out pretty quickly if the pads can’t move as this customer found out, he only had his brake pads changed 9 months ago at a first fit centre, the brake pads couldn’t move due to all the rust so have already worn out. Just do it right first time 👊🏻👍🏻

This new customer said “ it has a full Lexus service history” which can mean nothing depending on the mechanic undertaking the service, if they’re trying to make bonus they only do the basics and never go above and beyond, I used to be one and never made bonus as I have a conscience, this is the sort of thing that should get rectified on a service, now he will be able to change his wheel if he has a puncher on the motorway as I had to manhandle the wheel to remove it, And the brake pipes may last a little longer (I did spray white grease on them) 😉👍🏻

This is why MOT testers should always be a mechanic first, so they have knowledge about all different parts, including their wear and tear, this prop shaft rear doughnut got an advisory, the splits in the doughnut adjust part of the rubber moulding process and have no structural integrity on the doughnut, always nice to let a customer know they don’t need to waste money or a job that doesn’t need doing!!! If you have a flashing AFS light on you’re RX400h then this is almost always the problem, seized and snapped link rod for the head light levelling height sensor, unfortunately you can only buy the whole sensor from the Dealer but you can source the link rod on line! Hope this can help some frustrated owners 👍🏻

This customer was surprised when I told him he had a water leak. He hadn’t even noticed, once I showed him the photos, he was very grateful, this was the modification cutting a triangle out of the rubber flap that Toyota had back in the day. This car seems to have slipped through the net.
