Introducing Halcyon’s latest client design study, the Cepheus Commission, a Rolls-Royce Corniche Drop Head Coupé remastered as part of our Great Eight Series.

Shown here in Iris Blue, a one-of-one colour paired with a hand-painted gold coachline and our uninterrupted chrome bumper, over a Halo White and Submariner Navy interior.

The commission takes its inspiration from the constellation of Cepheus, and from the reflection nebula within it known as the Iris. The nebula makes no light of its own, What is seen is a single white star at its centre, bright at its heart, deepening outwards.

Limited to sixty commissions, the Great Eight Series is powered by a re-engineered 6.75-litre L-Series V8, a naturally aspirated engine with elevated torque and power, and paired with an upgraded automatic gearbox.

We’re excited to announce that Halcyon will be part of the 21st edition of Salon Privé, presenting the Highland Heather Commission on the palace lawns.

Five days in the grounds of one of England’s great houses, where some of the finest motor cars in the world gather for one of the most considered occasions in the British motoring calendar.

Shown in public for the first time at London Concours: our development engine for the remastered 6.75-litre V8 that sits at the heart of Halcyon’s Great Eight Series.

When the Corniche and Silver Shadow were new, the engine’s output was famously described as simply “adequate”. With the Great Eight Series, we set out to build on that effortless character, increasing torque, extending power delivery and improving responsiveness, to deliver more than adequate performance in every sense.

The result is an engine that feels entirely authentic, preserving the very essence that makes it so special, yet capable in a way it never was before.
