Mercedes Benz C250d - Part 1
What’s the Plan?

The stunning Mercedes C250d Coupe is in for my full works package. The wheels, arch liners, under trays and bumpers will be removed and a full dry ice clean carried out. Any corrosion will be removed and the bare metal treated followed by an application of epoxy primer. The whole underbody will then be protected with several coats of clear wax. When completed the underside of this car will look like new but with the bonus of being far better protected.

The Mercedes-Benz CLK 250 CDI Coupé is a proper modern classic in the making. Based on the C207 coupé generation, it combines Mercedes’ unmistakable elegance with a punchy and economical 2.1-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder, producing around 204 hp and plenty of torque.

With its long bonnet, frameless doors, luxury interior and effortless cruising ability, the C207 offers that rare combination of style, comfort and performance. It’s a car that feels equally at home on a winding road or covering big miles on the motorway.

A classy Mercedes coupé with plenty of character — and one that’s becoming increasingly appreciated by enthusiasts.

A proper little slice of 90s Ford commercial nostalgia, something you just don’t see on the road anymore! This vehicle is in for a thorough under body dry ice clean to remove a thick layer of horrible black underseal. Another job on a sales vehicle for JF Classics, this lovely little low mileage van will be a great purchase for someone when they have fully restored it.

The Mk5 Ford Es**rt Commercial — simple, practical and unmistakably Ford. These little vans were once a familiar sight on British roads, earning their keep day after day. Today, a clean surviving example is becoming increasingly rare and a great reminder of just how cool the humble commercial vehicle can be.

Porsche 718 Boxster
Cement Removal!

This Porsche Boxster came in to have some cement removed from the driver side wheel arch liners and side skirt. Unfortunately on a dark winters night the owner drove through some cement that had been spilled on the road causing the mess you can see in this video. Thankfully I managed to put the dry ice to good use and effectively remove the cement. This took a fair bit of time and a lot more than I was expecting. It really was far harder to get off than the video suggests, I sped the footage up a lot! Still the perfect way to remove a heavy contaminant like cement leaving the vehicle untouched underneath.

Underbody Transformations - Part 2

Dry ice cleaning uses high pressure to fire 3mm frozen CO2 at surfaces, as it hits micro explosions occur as it turns from a -80°C frozen soild back into a gas, increasing in volume by 800 times and blasting away old grime & road dirt. This is the perfect way to clean a vehicle underbody as you have the power of blasting without the harmful effects on rubber, plastic & paint that conventional media blasting has.

Developed with motorsport in its DNA and instantly recognisable by its famous “whale tail” rear spoiler, this 3-door Cosworth is a true performance hero of the 1980s.
