🚗 Another electrical fault traced and fixed! 🔧

This Mk6 Golf 1.6 TDI came in with a serious issue — no communication with ANY module on the vehicle. 😳

The car would start, run for a second, then immediately cut out with an immobiliser fault.

After working through the diagnostics, we traced the problem to water ingress in the gateway module, located beneath the wiper motor in the scuttle area. 💧⚡

Rather than leaving the customer waiting around for a new module, we sourced a replacement from a local breaker, fitted it, coded it to the vehicle and carried out the necessary checks.

✅ Fault diagnosed
✅ Replacement gateway sourced locally
✅ Module fitted & coded
✅ Immobiliser fault resolved
✅ Back on the road the same day 🙌

🔥 BMW M50d — Giving This Beast Its Breath Back! 🔥

This BMW M50d came in for some much-needed attention to the intake system — and it’s safe to say there was plenty to clean up! 😮‍💨

🛠️ Work carried out:
✅ Swirl flap removal
✅ Full inlet manifold carbon clean
✅ EGR software delete
✅ Swirl flap software delete
✅ AdBlue software delete

After years of EGR operation and recirculated exhaust gases, the inlet manifold can become heavily restricted with carbon build-up, seriously affecting airflow and engine performance.

We’ve stripped it back, cleaned it out and removed the problematic swirl flap system, before carrying out the relevant software modifications. 💻🔧

The result? A much cleaner intake system and an engine that can breathe properly again. 💨

Another M50d back on the road and ready to put that quad-turbo straight-six power to work! 😈🔥

🔥 Another Ingenium Evoque brought back from the dead! 🔥

This one came in after a timing chain failure, and as you can see, it wasn’t going to be a simple chain replacement…

Once the engine was stripped down, we found the top end had suffered damage from the failure, meaning a full timing chain replacement and top-end rebuild was required. 🔧

We’ve stripped, inspected and rebuilt the cylinder head, replaced the damaged components and are now putting everything back together with a complete new timing chain setup.

The Ingenium 2.0 diesel is a great engine when looked after properly, but timing chain condition and maintenance are absolutely critical. A failed chain can quickly turn a routine maintenance job into a major engine repair.

Another one getting the proper treatment rather than being written off. 💪

From now on, if you book in and don’t show up. Don’t expect to use our services again.

When we’ve got a vehicle booked out to a ramp for a full day, it’s rude and disrespectful.

Fortunately we are busy enough that we can bring another vehicle in and get started on that. But not everyone is.

And remember. You get what you pay for. There’s a reason we are correcting local “tuners” works on a regular basis. Just take a look at the pictures of one we had in recently. DPF “removed” at another garage. Vehicle lost power shortly after leaving. Went back to garage and diagnosed as turbo… they wanted £1500 to supply and fit a turbo.

Within less than an hour we had diagnosed the vehicle. The DPF had been drilled, resulting it in collapsing and blocking the Adblue cats downstream.

Volkswagen Polo GTI 1.8 192BHP
Originally fitted with an IS12

This vehicle has now had a IS38 fitted from a Golf R, Intercooler, Downpipe, Intake, Uprated Clutch

Custom tuned on the dyno making 346BHP and 474NM of torque

This had a stock fuel pump so this was unfortunately the limiting factor. Fitted with a Golf R HPFP and Vacpump we could’ve seen more.
