🚛 Another Success Story – From Test Pass to Full-Time Employment in Less Than 24 Hours! 🎉

Danny passed his LGV test yesterday, and within 25 minutes of passing, we had arranged him an interview with one of our fantastic employer partners.

By 10:00am this morning—less than 24 hours after passing his test—Danny had signed his contract and secured a full-time driving role! 👏

We are incredibly proud of Danny and wish him every success as he starts his new career.

International Freight Forwarding Specialist Apprenticeship Opportunities
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are keen to begin a career in the international freight forwarding whilst gaining a nationally recognised Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification.
We currently have two apprenticeship opportunities available at our Basildon office. One position will be dedicated to our Freight Forwarding Department, allowing the successful candidate to develop specialist knowledge and hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations, whilst the other will provide the opportunity to spend time in different departments and gain experience across the business.
Job type
Fixed-term apprenticeship, full time
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5.30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break). 40 hours per week.
Salary
Competitive apprenticeship salary, dependent on age
About the Role
This apprenticeship provides practical, hands-on experience within an international freight forwarding and logistics environment.
Depending on the apprenticeship you undertake, you will either:
1.
Work within our Freight Forwarding Department, developing specialist knowledge and practical experience in freight forwarding operations and international logistics activities; or
2.
Gain experience across multiple departments through a structured rotational programme, developing a broad understanding of international supply chains, customs activities, customer service operations and freight forwarding processes.
Both opportunities provide valuable hands-on experience, structured learning and the chance to build a long-term career within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
•
Participate in departmental rotations and/or develop specialist knowledge within the Freight Forwarding Department, depending on the apprenticeship pathway undertaken.
•
Learn and support international freight forwarding activities across road, ocean and air freight operations.
•
Assist in the coordination and movement of shipments throughout the supply chain.
•
Support customer service activities and maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers and overseas partners.
•
Assist with the preparation and processing of freight documentation.
•
Learn how to complete import and export activities accurately and within required timescales.
•
Gain an understanding of customs procedures, compliance requirements and international trade regulations.
•
Support invoicing and administrative activities in line with Company procedures.
•
Maintain and utilise operational systems effectively and accurately.
•
Assist with the preparation of quotations and customer enquiries.

🚛 What a fantastic week it’s been across our Essex and Midlands training schools! 🎉

As another successful week draws to a close, we’d like to congratulate all of our learners who have passed their LGV tests this week. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we’re incredibly proud of every one of you.

The journey doesn’t stop at passing your test. We’ve already arranged job interviews for some of our new drivers within 48 hours of them passing, and we’re delighted to welcome two new transport companies on board who are committed to recruiting newly qualified drivers.

Helping people move from lower-paid jobs into rewarding careers with better earning potential is exactly why we do what we do. Seeing the positive difference this makes to individuals and their families is something we’re passionate about.

Next week, we’re looking forward to helping even more learners achieve their goals, celebrating more first-time passes across both schools, and putting more professional LGV drivers on the road.
