International Freight Forwarding Specialist Apprenticeship Opportunities
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are keen to begin a career in the international freight forwarding whilst gaining a nationally recognised Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification.
We currently have two apprenticeship opportunities available at our Basildon office. One position will be dedicated to our Freight Forwarding Department, allowing the successful candidate to develop specialist knowledge and hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations, whilst the other will provide the opportunity to spend time in different departments and gain experience across the business.

Fixed-term apprenticeship, full time
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5.30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break). 40 hours per week.
Salary
Competitive apprenticeship salary, dependent on age
About the Role
This apprenticeship provides practical, hands-on experience within an international freight forwarding and logistics environment.
Depending on the apprenticeship you undertake, you will either:
1.
Work within our Freight Forwarding Department, developing specialist knowledge and practical experience in freight forwarding operations and international logistics activities; or
2.
Gain experience across multiple departments through a structured rotational programme, developing a broad understanding of international supply chains, customs activities, customer service operations and freight forwarding processes.
Both opportunities provide valuable hands-on experience, structured learning and the chance to build a long-term career within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
•
Participate in departmental rotations and/or develop specialist knowledge within the Freight Forwarding Department, depending on the apprenticeship pathway undertaken.
•
Learn and support international freight forwarding activities across road, ocean and air freight operations.
•
Assist in the coordination and movement of shipments throughout the supply chain.
•
Support customer service activities and maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers and overseas partners.
•
Assist with the preparation and processing of freight documentation.
•
Learn how to complete import and export activities accurately and within required timescales.
•
Gain an understanding of customs procedures, compliance requirements and international trade regulations.
•
Support invoicing and administrative activities in line with Company procedures.
•
Maintain and utilise operational systems effectively and accurately.
•
Assist with the preparation of quotations and customer enquiries.
