Hi Folks
I would like to personally put my side of the story across regarding this evenings posts about the camper van at DBG Services .
The customer called us around a month ago maybe more about booking there campervan in for a mot . I asked at the time how big is it as we have a pretty low door at garage and wasn’t sure if it would fit in. Anyway he said it wasn’t that big and should fit . Anyway the camper arrived yesterday afternoon and upon pulling it up to the door we quickly discovered it is not going to fit in. I phone Ian at Grantown Garage and he said he could fit it in for an MOT at 7.30 am for us . I could have easy phoned customer to say come take it away it doesn’t fit but I went the extra mile to get this MOT done .
Anyway at 5.30 in the evening I discovered our parking at the back was very full and thought I’d just take the camper to my house (1 mile from garage ) so when I leave early in morning I can go straight to Grantown Garage without going into our garage to get it etc. On the way to Grantown I see a good friend walking to work in Grantown . He just actually dropped his car at Dulnain garage and was walking to work in Grantown , i stopped and says I can give you a lift in not even thinking it was a problem.
While leaving the industrial estate I actually bumped into the owner of the campervan and explained it doesn’t fit into garage and I was taking it to another Garage first thing and I had simply took friend a lift on the way . The owner seemed cool about this at the time . I wasn’t using the campervan as taxi service and being totally honest i will put my hands up and admit maybe I shouldn’t of gave this person a lift in a customers car but didn’t really think bad of it .
Anyway Campervan passed the MOT and I had it back at Dulnain for the customer to collect . I got a phone call from the Lady asking me about the tracker etc and I genuinely will admit this completely I laughed as I thought her husband had told her to phone and wind me up or something about seeing us this morning . I read the situation wrong and apologised multiple times . I again apologised when her husband came to collect the Camper in the afternoon and he told me not to worry about it. I took time to take campervan to garage and then collect it . An MOT fee is £54.85 which we pay to Grantown Garage aswell … I took van in and collected out of good will .
I just wanted to get my side across personally and to let me people know I’m
Not using anyone’s cars as a taxi service 👎
Thanks
Craig
