** DID YOU BUY A SMIGGLE BACKPACK FROM US? **

We need your help finding a lady and her daughter who bought a Smiggle backpack from one of our sellers at the car boot.

Unfortunately, after selling it, the seller realised that she hadn't completely emptied the pockets — and her daughter's glasses were still inside the backpack!

The backpack is black with multi-coloured pictures.

We're hoping the lady who bought it might see this and be able to help reunite the glasses with their owner.

If you bought the Smiggle backpack, please send us a private message.

And if you didn't buy it, you can still help — please share this post. The person we're looking for may not follow our page, but somebody who knows her might.

** WE’RE WATCHING THE WEATHER 👀 **

Once again, we're watching the weather for you!

At the moment, AccuWeather is forecasting just a little rain on Friday, so we're hopeful that the field will have plenty of time to dry out and be ready for Sunday's car boot.

As always, though, we'll be keeping a close eye on both the forecast and the condition of the field before making a final decision.

🌧️ **BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY CAR BOOT – CANCELLED** 🌧️

We’re very sorry to announce that our Bank Holiday Monday event has been cancelled, due to the rain and the condition of the field.

We know how disappointing this will be, particularly as so many of you were planning to join us, but going ahead in the current conditions would not be safe for our buyers and sellers and would cause considerable damage to the field.

We’ve made the decision to announce the cancellation today rather than leave it until the last minute. We know there are other car boots taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend, and we want to give everyone as much notice as possible so that you have the opportunity to rearrange your plans and visit another event that is fortunate enough to be able to go ahead.

A great deal of work has already gone into preparing for Monday, so this certainly isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly. Unfortunately, the weather has beaten us this time.

We’re very sorry to disappoint everyone who was looking forward to coming and we wish you all a very pleasant Bank Holiday weekend, whatever you decide to do.

Here's something you might not know about RAIN...

It triggers our Fair Weather Policy for sellers!

If you've set up to sell with us and it rains before 9am, we'll give you a voucher for a FREE PITCH at one of our future events.

Why?

Because we know you can't control the weather any more than we can — and we don't think you should lose out just because the heavens decide to open!

It's one of the little things we do to look after our sellers.

After all... how many car boots do you know that give you a free pitch because it rained? 😉

We had an unfortunate incident at this morning's car boot regarding dog poo.

A visitor was asked to pick up after his dog, but instead chose to tread the mess into the grass and walk away.

We'd therefore like to remind everyone that if you bring your dog to the car boot, you MUST pick up after it. This is clearly stated on our page and website, and we expect all visitors to respect the site and the people who use it.

Please bring suitable bags with you and dispose of them appropriately.

We are very happy for well-behaved dogs to come along on a short lead, but leaving dog mess behind — or deliberately treading it into the grass — is simply not acceptable.

Thank you to the vast majority of our visitors who are responsible dog owners and always clean up after their pets.

We're sorry to have to raise this but we want to keep our events safe and clean for everyone who attends, as well as our staff.

Well, what an amazing day we had again today, packed with buyers and sellers, regulars and first-timers!! Thank you to everyone who supported us today!

The winning ticket today was number 149 and this has now been claimed. to the 🥂🎉
